'In the City' Whitney Fransway Doubles Down on Lindsay Hubbard Drama

Whitney Fransway is standing by her side of the drama with Lindsay Hubbard.

After Lindsay claimed during the “In the City” reunion that she cried for “six months” over Whitney’s comments about her, Whitney said she doesn’t believe that timeline is accurate.

Speaking on the “Morally Corrupt” podcast, Whitney admitted she regrets how her comments landed but said she has already apologized and never intended to hurt Lindsay.

“No,” Whitney said when asked whether she believed Lindsay cried for six months. “I felt clearly that was not my intent for that to go down that road. … Even in the scene where she and Yvonne are making up on that last episode or second-to-last episode, you see Lindsay be like, ‘Oh, well, the way that you talk to me…’ She kind of feels like she deserves an apology. I’m like, wait, what?”

Whitney explained that she spoke up because she believed it was the right thing to do, even if she knew it wouldn’t be a popular opinion.

“It was just things like that that I had seen, and I finally decided to stand up for what I felt was right. I knew it wasn’t going to be an agreed-upon position, but I still stand by what my intent was,” she said. “But I regret how it landed.”

Despite the tension, Whitney said she hopes she and Lindsay can eventually move forward because she doesn’t like being on “bad terms with people.”

Whitney also weighed in on speculation that West Wilson could join season 2 of “In the City” following his headline-making relationship with Amanda Batula.

Speaking with Us Weekly alongside boyfriend Kenny Martin, Whitney questioned whether West would be the right fit for the series.

“It’s not just a party show,” Whitney explained, suggesting cast members need to be “open and honest” about every aspect of their lives. She questioned whether West would be willing to do that.

Kenny revealed he and Amanda briefly discussed the possibility after the reunion but said nothing has been decided.

“It sounds like it’s not out of the realm of possibility, but I don’t know,” Kenny told Us.

He also noted that while West was previously close with Kyle Cooke through “Summer House,” he doesn’t naturally fit into their New York City friend group anymore.

“I just don’t know where West fits into the equation,” Kenny said. “Like, obviously, Amanda is friends with people in the mix, but I think it would be an adjustment for West to go from doing theme parties to real life.”

Whitney added that the cast would likely rally around Amanda if West joined the show.

“I think everyone would be really protective of Amanda,” she told Us. “I feel like even us, like, being newer friends in her life. I feel like how could you not?”

She also suggested West’s “track record” could create additional tension within the group if he became part of season 2.
