Salley Carson isn’t backing down when it comes to her ongoing drama with Amanda Batula.
During the July 16 episode of Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, “In the Twot Seat,” the “Southern Charm” star opened up about the tension that followed her kiss with Kyle Cooke after his January split from Amanda. She also questioned when Amanda’s relationship with West Wilson actually began.
According to Salley, Amanda warned Kyle to “be careful” around her after learning about the kiss, and that’s where the issue started.
The ‘Southern Charm’ Star Calls Amanda Batula’s Comments ‘Projection’
“My issue with Amanda is like, so I like, I kissed Kyle in New York, and Amanda asked him about it, and this is like after they’re separated, whatever, and then she found out and she kind of was like, ‘Be careful, like, she’s got a reputation,'” Salley said.
She then suggested Amanda’s comments didn’t sit well because of what she believes was happening behind the scenes.
“And when she’s saying that about me, she’s already f*cking West. I’m like, projection.”
Salley clarified that the “reputation” Amanda referenced was tied to how she felt she had been portrayed on reality television.
“It was just how I was being perceived on the show … and my edit,” she explained.
Tamra quickly pointed out that Amanda is also facing scrutiny over her relationship with West.
“Let’s talk about how she’s being perceived on the show right now. Like, you can’t throw that at people,” Tamra said.
“That’s what I’m saying,” Salley replied. “You of all people should understand what reality TV is like. And like, you don’t really judge someone for their edit necessarily, unless you, like, really know them, and they deserved it. But the audacity that she had to say that about me when she knew what she was doing behind closed doors.”
Salley Carson Questions Amanda and West’s Relationship Timeline
The conversation then shifted to when Amanda and West’s romance may have actually started.
After Tamra wondered if the relationship began earlier than fans were told, Salley said season 10 of “Summer House” appears to tell its own story.
“I mean, from the way that the show is edited right now, it looks like they were together last summer,” she said.
Salley added that the pair had “1,000 percent” chemistry while cameras were rolling.
Amanda and Kyle announced their separation in January before she went public with West in March. Since then, Salley has been linked to Kyle following their New York City kiss, while Kyle has also sparked dating speculation with “Next Gen NYC” star Ava Dash.
Bravo has not yet confirmed when “Southern Charm” season 12 will premiere, but the series is expected to return later this year.
