Venita Aspen is finally confirming what Bravo fans have been buzzing about. The “Southern Charm” star opened up about going on a date with Carl Radke, revealing that their long-rumored chemistry turned into an hours-long hangout in New York City. Between that update and a very candid rundown of where she stands with several familiar Bravo faces, Venita did not hold back.

Appearing on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast on Tuesday, Dec. 23, Venita confirmed that she and Carl officially went on one date after flirting back and forth for months.

“We have now gone on one date, which is very nice,” she said.

Venita shared that the date began at Carl’s sober bar and café, Soft Bar, in Brooklyn.

“We went to Soft Bar, of course, first, and I got to see that whole experience,” she said. “Then we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant around the corner.”

According to Venita, the date went so well that they shut the restaurant down.

“I think it lasted for almost five hours,” she said. “We were together the whole day, for about five hours. We had to be asked to leave.”

She also admitted she was feeling the nerves.

“Carl’s cute,” Venita said. “I’m sweating.”

Carl has been just as open about his interest. During the “Summer House Always Wins” panel at BravoCon 2025, he spoke about spending time with Venita.

“I had a really great time hanging out with Venita yesterday,” he said. “Venita’s beautiful, she’s really cool.”
Carl added that they originally connected through Ciara Miller and that Venita had previously been to the summer house.

“We’ll see,” he said, keeping things light.

Beyond Carl, Venita also addressed other ongoing storylines from “Southern Charm.” She confirmed that despite speculation, she never hooked up with JT Thomas.

“I didn’t hook up with JT. No,” she said. “Everyone kept saying that.”

She also revealed she no longer speaks to him.

“Oh no, I’m blocked on everything,” Venita said, adding that she doesn’t think he’s still with his girlfriend.

Venita also took responsibility for sharing a private story involving Molly O’Connell with Salley Carson.

“Not my proudest moment,” she admitted. “I just thought it was like a harmless, casual conversation.”

As for where she stands with Salley now, Venita said things are slowly improving.

“We’re working on it,” she said. “One day at a time.”

She also explained that her frustration stemmed from wanting to protect Salley while she was getting closer to Craig Conover after his split from Paige DeSorbo.

“I didn’t want her to fall for someone that I know is not,” Venita said. “It’s a bad egg.”
