Taylor Swift may have kept her romance with Travis Kelce under wraps at first, but when it came to marriage? She apparently wasn’t playing it cool. The pop superstar admitted she knew Kelce was The One just six months into their relationship — and she started dropping engagement ring inspo almost immediately.

During a recent interview, Swift spilled the tea on exactly how she made her wishes known, and how Travis shocked her with just how closely he’d been paying attention.

Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring Came From a Hint 18 Months Ago

Speaking to “Heart Breakfast” radio co-hosts Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston on Friday morning, Swift flashed her brilliant-cut old mine diamond ring and proudly explained the story behind it. “You wanna see?” she teased. She revealed that she had sent Travis a video of jeweler Kindred Lubeck’s work roughly 18 months earlier. “He designed it with this amazing jeweler — Kindred Lubeck is her name. She does all of her gold engraving by hand,” Swift explained. “I thought her stuff was so cool, so I showed him a video of it about a year and a half ago.”

Travis clearly took notes. “He was just paying attention to everything, it turns out, because when I saw the ring, I [gasped],” Swift shared. “I was like, ‘I know who made that! I know who made that! I know who made that!’”

She was equally emotional over the gesture, telling the hosts, “You listen to me!” Experts estimate the ring’s value could be as high as $1 million.

Swift also shared new details about Travis’ elaborate proposal at his Leawood, Kansas, home. While she was recording “New Heights” with Travis and Jason Kelce, he secretly had a full garden installation built in his backyard. “He really crushed it in surprising me,” she gushed on “The Graham Norton Show.” “He went all out — 10 out of 10.”

Two weeks later, the pair announced their engagement with a cheeky joint Instagram caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
