Part 1:

Along with Southern Wives Club set to begin production ahead of the 2026 Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA, Peacock is acquiring rights to a new Housewives franchise, following RHOM’s 2021 revival. The cities are New Orleans and San Francisco, both rich in culture, generational wealth, and unique storytelling. Of the two, NOLA has already conducted cast interviews, though official negotiations still need to take place, while the Bay Area concept remains in earlier exploratory stages.

New Orleans is defined by legacy families from St. Charles, Gentilly, Metairie, and Uptown, with opportunities to branch into other wards where culture and resilience thrive. A January filming start (year TBD) would capture Mardi Gras in full swing, including nightlife and gala’s woven in family traditions. The new cast members are reportedly Swin Cash-Canal, a former WNBA star and Olympic gold medalist now serving as VP of Basketball Operations for the Pelicans; Tamica Lee, a TV anchor and former Saintsations cheerleader known from Southern Charm: New Orleans; Sevetri Wilson, a tech entrepreneur and founder of Resilia who became one of the first Black women to raise significant venture capital in the South; Adrinda Kelly, Executive Director of Black Education for New Orleans; Dr. Sophia Aomo Omoro, a prominent surgeon and designer; and Robin Barnes, a jazz and soul singer with deep connections to the French Quarter nightlife. Bravo has also been eager to feature Big Freedia in one of their shows ever since their memorable appearance on RHOA in New Orleans. Ideally, the network would cast both Big Freedia and Supa Cent as “Friends” of the show to lock in that authentic NOLA energy (if they mesh well with the other girls).
