Vicki Gunvalson is sharing new details about her relationship with longtime boyfriend Michael Smith, revealing the couple recently reached a major milestone together.
During an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star said she and Smith recently purchased a home together in La Quinta, California, after more than four years of dating.
“I’ve been dating a gentleman now four-and-a-half years,” Vicki said. “We actually just bought a house together in La Quinta. We have a good life.”

Vicki also discussed their relationship during the season 20 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” explaining that they split their time between multiple homes.
“Mike, my boyfriend, and I, we live primarily in Coto De Caza, and we go between La Quinta, and my favorite place, Puerto Vallarta,” she shared.
While speaking with Shannon Beador on the July 9 episode, Vicki explained why the relationship works so well.
“He can do his thing, I can do my thing and we know we’re going to be home together,” she said.
In a confessional, she described how Smith has changed her outlook on relationships.
“Four years into our relationship, Mike fills my emotional love tank,” Vicki said. “Like, I know when I’m with him, I feel empowered. I feel good. He accepts me.”
She then laughed, adding, “I’m a lot to accept.”
Smith, who is originally from Texas, works as a real estate developer, according to Vicki. During a November 2024 episode of her podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” she explained that his work temporarily created a long-distance relationship.
“He’s a developer. He’s doing a project that’s going to be a couple of years,” she said. “But we live together in California but he’s going back and forth and it’s hard. It’s my new normal now.”
Vicki has also developed a close relationship with Smith’s daughter, Olivia. She attended Olivia’s June 2025 wedding to Adam Webb and previously revealed during an interview with “Housewives Nightcap” that Olivia works as an operations specialist for her business, Coto Insurance and Financial Services.
The couple publicly confirmed their relationship on June 18, 2022, although Vicki later revealed they had actually met years earlier.
During a 2022 interview with Extra, she praised Smith for staying out of the spotlight.
“He is so private and so classy and wants nothing to do with social media and Instagram,” Vicki said. “He’s just a good person, like a good guy.”
She later told Andy Cohen during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” that their romance almost never happened.
“I actually met Michael seven years ago, and he gave me his number, and I never called him,” Vicki recalled. “Seven years later…”
