'The Valley' Star Nia Sanchez Confirms Jax Taylor's Threat

As season 3 of “The Valley” continues to play out, Nia Sanchez is doubling down on claims that Jax Taylor warned her husband, Danny Booko, he planned to target him on the show.

Appearing on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Nia revisited the now well-known phone call that allegedly took place between seasons 1 and 2, saying she personally overheard Jax make the comments while Danny had him on speakerphone.

“I remember the phone call in between season one and two because I heard Jax on speakerphone telling Daniel, ‘I’m coming after you. I’m going to take you down,'” Nia said. “Jax’s specific words were, ‘You got a good edit and I got a bad edit, so I’m coming for you.’ Those were his words.”

According to Nia, Danny was shocked by what he was hearing.

“Daniel was like, ‘Man, first of all, we’re friends. I thought we were friends … and I have a family. I have a livelihood outside of this. I have a career outside of this. Why are you saying this?'”

Nia said Jax continued insisting that Danny had received a favorable edit while he hadn’t.

Danny previously shared a similar account in an interview with Variety, recalling that Jax later told him, “You guys got off easy in the first season, and the second season I’m coming after you and putting a target on your back! You and Nia are fake!”

Nia also addressed fan speculation that Brittany Cartwright may have secretly supported Jax’s efforts to expose Danny, a claim that has surfaced throughout season 3.

“I don’t,” Nia said when asked whether she believed Brittany was involved.

She acknowledged there were moments that fueled speculation, including Brittany accidentally revealing Kristen Doute’s engagement before it was public, but she doesn’t believe Brittany intentionally participated.

“I’m sure … Jax had his plan and maybe told her about it, but I don’t think she was in on it or intentional about it,” Nia explained.

Nia also revealed that she and Brittany are currently in a “good” place despite everything that has happened.

The former Miss USA admitted she’s still surprised that she and Danny continue to be such a major storyline.

“I imagined people have other things going on in their life, other dramatic things or other stories to tell,” she said. “I’m like, we have enough drama and things going on in our own life.”

She added that the people closest to them know who they really are away from the cameras.

“The people that we spend the most time with … know who we are on a daily basis when there’s no cameras around,” Nia said. “I do feel like they are like, ‘What is happening?'”
