Janet Caperna found a creative solution when she needed a bathroom during “The Valley” cast trip to Mexico, but there was one person who had no idea what happened: her husband, Jason Caperna.

During season 3, episode 14, Janet urinated in a cup while the cast was packed together on a bus after leaving a nightclub. Jason missed the Mexico trip due to a knee injury he sustained while playing basketball, so producers broke the news to him during “The Valley After Show.”

“I actually don’t know this. She’s never told me this,” Jason admitted before sighing, “Oh, Janet.”

Janet Caperna’s Bus Bathroom Moment Had the Cast Worried

Jasmine Goode suggested the cup solution during the July 1 episode and offered to hide Janet while she took care of business.

Lala Kent watched the moment unfold and immediately saw one major problem.

“All I’m thinking is, one bump—” she said before motioning backward. “Janet’s pee all over Nia [Sanchez Booko].”

Michelle Saniei had the same concern.

“I think I was near you, and I’m like, ‘I’m not gonna look at this girl,’” she recalled on the After Show. “I’m like, ‘What if there’s a bump and then it like goes somewhere?’”

Tom Schwartz, however, thought Jason should be impressed.

“The fact that you’re able to pee in a cup and not spill at all in a moving [vehicle]?” he pointed out.

It turns out the bus was far from Janet’s first experience with an emergency bathroom situation. She admitted she previously kept a Gatorade bottle in her car because of Los Angeles traffic.

“You need the big [bottle] mouth,” she explained. “Nice suction. Just let it go.”

Janet added that bathroom emergencies have become more difficult since she welcomed her son, Cameron, in December 2023.

“After you have a baby, holding it in does not work as well,” she said.

Jason Caperna Keeps Learning New Things About His Wife

Janet’s bathroom adventure was not the first surprising piece of information Jason discovered while filming “The Valley After Show.”

“Janet seems to keep it interesting, and you learn something new about her every day,” a producer told him.

“I mean, I just learned this new thing about her today,” Jason replied.

The show then flashed back to Jason learning about another personal revelation from his wife, followed by a previous conversation in which Janet suggested he did not care if she hooked up with women.

Jason quickly clarified that the couple does not have an open relationship.

“That’s definitely not true,” he said.

He explained that he would not be bothered by a casual kiss with someone such as Lala, but said an actual romantic relationship would cross a line.

“If she were like, ‘Oh, I’ve been going out on a couple dates with this woman,’ I’d be like, ‘No, you’re not going on dates with this woman,’” he explained. “Yeah, ’cause, like, I could just as easily lose her to a woman as to a man.”

“I don’t think she gets exactly what I meant,” he added.

Janet Caperna’s Cup Incident Got Even Messier After the Bus Ride

Zack Wickham revealed there was more to the bathroom story than viewers saw on “The Valley.”

According to Zack, Janet had already emptied the cup by the time the group began walking back to their hotel. However, the cup still managed to come back to haunt her.

“We’re walking in. She turns around. Jasmine’s there, and kicks the cup,” he recalled. “The cup flies into Janet’s face, and her pee gets on her.”

Janet did not seem particularly bothered by the outcome.

“If my pee is going to go on someone, I rather it go on me then anybody else,” she said. “Like, I’m fine with my own pee on me. I don’t want other people’s pee on me.”
