Shep Rose is opening up about how a recent ayahuasca experience led him to reconnect with ex-girlfriend Taylor Ann Green.
During a July 1 appearance on SiriusXM’s “Page Six Radio,” the “Southern Charm” star said the hallucinogenic experience prompted him to reflect on his past relationship with Green, whom he dated for two years before their 2022 split.
Shep Rose Says Ayahuasca Changed His Perspective on Taylor Ann Green
“You’ve got a lot of time on your hands and your mind is certainly wandering,” Shep said of the experience. “They say you’re holding a mirror up to yourself.”
As he reflected, he realized how much Green had meant to him.
“‘Why do you want more? Don’t you have everything? It’s all here, it’s all inside of you,'” he recalled thinking. “And I went through this spiral.”
Shep admitted he now looks back at their relationship differently.
“She loved me so much and she cared about me so much,” he said. “And I took it for granted and I care about her and her family very much. Thankfully, that relationship stayed somewhat connected.”
Although he kept details of their renewed friendship under wraps while “Southern Charm” films season 12, Shep confirmed the two are back in touch.
“She’s a little bit back in my life,” he teased, “and I’m just very pleased about that.”
The Bravo star also acknowledged that his infidelity played a major role in the end of their relationship.
“I thought it was [a] gone forever situation, which I’ve never really had before,” he said. “I’m, at least, on nice terms with my exes.”
Now that they’ve moved past the breakup, Shep said he chooses to focus on the happier memories they shared together.
“We spent so much good time, so much laughter, so much adventure and intimate moments and lovely things,” he said. “It’s hard for me to understand how not to honor that with whether you want to call it nostalgia or what have you.”
