Former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Annemarie Wiley made serious allegations against her husband, Marcellus Wiley, before police arrested the former NFL player on a domestic violence battery charge over the July 4 weekend.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by TMZ, Annemarie called police from a hotel in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday after an alleged incident involving the couple. Their three children and other children attending a basketball tournament were reportedly in the hotel room at the time.
Marcellus denied getting physical with his wife.
Annemarie Wiley Allegedly Told Police She Was Afraid of Her Husband
According to TMZ, officers responded to the World Marriott after Annemarie reported a battery and said she wanted her husband removed from the hotel room.
The former “RHOBH” star allegedly told police she was afraid of Marcellus after he threatened to take her life.
Annemarie also described a separate alleged incident from the previous morning. According to the affidavit, she claimed she was sitting on the bed when Marcellus stood over her and “used one finger to sternly and intentionally poke her in the cheek.”
The alleged incident reportedly happened in front of the couple’s 7-year-old daughter.
Annemarie also allegedly told officers that she plans to divorce Marcellus and accused him of having an unreported history of violence toward her.
Marcellus Wiley Denied Getting Physical With Annemarie
Marcellus gave police a different account of what happened.
According to the affidavit, the former NFL player denied that he and Annemarie had a physical altercation at the hotel. He reportedly told officers there had been no violence between them and insisted he never put his hands on his wife.
Marcellus also said he was at the hotel taking care of their children and showed officers text messages in which he and Annemarie appeared to be exchanging cordial messages.
Police ultimately determined there was probable cause to arrest Marcellus for domestic violence battery based on Annemarie’s written statement.
Annemarie joined “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” as a full-time cast member for season 13. She was axed after one season.
