How Sutton Built Her Wealth Before Bravo

Long before joining RHOBH, Stracke was already living an extremely wealthy lifestyle through her marriage to financier Christian Stracke, a managing director and global head of the credit research group at PIMCO.

During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Sutton admitted she did not fully understand the extent of the couple’s wealth until their divorce proceedings began.

“It’s true because he was in charge of the finances, I didn’t know everything,” she said. “So when you do the full disclosure and get everything, I was like, ‘What?’”

She continued, “It’s actually two minor league baseball teams. I knew we had a timber company. But I didn’t know all. There were like 10 things on there. I was like, ‘Wow, I’m rich.’”

PIMCO reportedly manages more than $2 trillion in assets, and Sutton’s divorce settlement helped solidify her status as one of Bravo’s wealthiest stars.

RHOBH Salary and Reality TV Fame

Stracke joined “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during season 10 as a friend of the cast before becoming a full-time Housewife in season 11.

Her popularity on the series helped expand her public profile, especially through her ongoing feuds, lavish fashion moments, and close friendships with castmates, including Garcelle Beauvais and Jennifer Tilly.

In addition to RHOBH, Sutton also made an acting appearance on “Chucky” in 2022.

Reality television also helped boost traffic to her boutique and expand her social media influence, leading to additional brand partnerships and event appearances.

The Sutton Concept Boutique and Fashion Ventures

Outside of Bravo, Sutton owns The Sutton Concept, a fashion boutique located in West Hollywood.

The store features luxury fashion pieces, rotating art galleries, local designers, and exclusive events. Over the years, Sutton built a reputation as one of the country’s top luxury party hosts and socialites.

She was previously ranked among the top party hosts in the United States by The Salonniere.

Fashion remains a huge part of Sutton’s public image, particularly on RHOBH, where designer labels and couture looks frequently become storylines during the season.

Sutton’s Real Estate Portfolio

Real estate also contributes heavily to Sutton’s wealth.

Following her divorce, Sutton received the couple’s Bel Air home, which was originally purchased for $7 million in 2012. She later sold the property for $7.7 million in 2020.

That same year, she purchased another Bel Air mansion for $5.4 million.

In addition to her California properties, Sutton also owns a home in Georgia and a three-bedroom condo in New York City.

Sutton Brown Era Begins After Divorce

One of Sutton’s biggest recent storylines on RHOBH season 15 centered around her decision to begin using the name Sutton Brown again following her divorce from Christian.

The Bravo star revealed on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show” that her current legal name is Sutton Brown Stracke, although she plans to eventually complete the paperwork to officially change it.

“It’s gonna take a lot. It’s gonna take a lot of paperwork,” Sutton admitted.

She also explained why the name change felt so emotional years after her divorce.

“A lot is changing in my life right now,” Sutton said during a season 15 confessional. “I think that women my age… start to change… physically, emotionally.”

“To lose your name, on top of that, is meaningful and difficult,” she added.

More recently, Sutton debuted a custom SB diamond monogram necklace during the RHOBH season 15 reunion. The jewelry piece, designed by Kat McCall and Suzanne Wilson, symbolized what Sutton called her “second lease on life.”

“It feels very young to be Sutton Brown, because I was young the last time I was Sutton Brown,” she explained during the season.
