When the trailer dropped, fans were left clutching their pearls at the sight of Mauricio cozying up to Gizelle Bryant in Aspen. The question on everyone’s mind: what in the world was Mau doing in Potomac world?

Kyle addressed the moment during an Amazon Live with her daughter, Alexia Umansky. A fan asked if she’d seen Mau pop up in the RHOP teaser, and Kyle’s reaction was simple: “I did.”

Alexia, however, looked completely blindsided. “What? Why is he in that?” she asked — echoing what the rest of us were thinking. Kyle explained that the RHOP ladies filmed a cast trip in Aspen, where Mauricio just so happened to be hanging out (as he often does these days).

“Gizelle sent me a DM, saying, ‘Oh, we bumped into him,’” Kyle added. Translation: nothing shady, just Mau being Mau in the mountains.
