Taylor Frankie Paul is putting her mental health first.

According to Us Weekly, the “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star recently checked herself into a mental health treatment facility on the recommendation of her doctor. The stay was voluntary, and she has since been cleared to leave.

Taylor Says Her Focus Is on Her Health and Family

A source told the outlet that Taylor made the decision to seek treatment while navigating several personal challenges.

“She is focused on doing the work with her mental health professionals and checked in for a voluntary stay,” the source said. “She has since been cleared and departed. Her priority remains doing the work on her mental health and being a good mom.”

The update comes as Taylor continues to navigate an ongoing custody dispute with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen over their 2-year-old son, Ever.

Earlier this year, production on season 5 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” was temporarily halted after police investigated allegations stemming from a February domestic incident involving Taylor and Dakota. Prosecutors later declined to file criminal charges.

The former couple later obtained protective orders against one another and are scheduled to return to court on July 8. In June, a judge also lifted Taylor’s supervised visitation, allowing her parenting time with Ever on alternating weekends and one midweek visit.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Ex-Husband Also Files Court Motion

Taylor’s legal matters expanded this week after People reported that her ex-husband, Tate Paul, filed for a temporary restraining order on June 30.

Tate, who shares daughter Indy and son Ocean with Taylor, also filed paperwork seeking modifications to their existing divorce and custody agreement.

Just weeks earlier, Tate offered a brief update on their co-parenting relationship while commenting on a livestream.

“My co-parenting relationship has been peaceful for the most part,” he wrote. “The last few months has been not so.”

Despite the recent filing, a source previously told the outlet that Taylor and Tate had worked well together as co-parents.

“They have always been a strong team,” the source said. “The last few months have, of course, complicated their co-parenting dynamic, but they’re navigating it together. She’s committed to maintaining a strong relationship with him and tackling the challenges that have arisen.”
