Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo just scored a major podcasting milestone.
The former “Summer House” stars’ hit show “Giggly Squad” was named Podcast of the Year at the 2026 iHeartPodcast Awards, which took place at SXSW in Austin, Texas on Monday, March 15.
The popular podcast beat out a packed field of nominees, including “Good Hang with Amy Poehler,” “The Breakfast Club,” “The Mel Robbins Podcast,” “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” “The Daily,” “The Rest Is History,” “This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von,” “Call Her Daddy,” and “Heavyweight.”
On “Giggly Squad,” Hannah and Paige chat about everything from pop culture and fashion to dating, mental health, and reality TV — all while roasting themselves along the way.
During their acceptance speech, the duo kept things very on-brand with jokes and shoutouts to their loyal fan base, affectionately known as “the gigglers.”
Hannah kicked things off by teasing Paige about how the podcast first started.
“Paige originally didn’t want to start a podcast,” Hannah joked, adding that Paige once told her she “has a face for television.”
Paige then thanked fans for helping turn the show into a massive success.
“We would be nothing without them,” Paige said of their listeners.
She also joked about her own working habits while thanking Hannah.
“Thank you to Hannah for working with me every day even though I don’t respond to emails. It’s so not my thing.”
Hannah also reflected on how meaningful the podcast has become for them both.
“Podcasting is our favorite time of the week and I think being ourselves and having an amazing community has enriched us so much,” Hannah said.
“We’re so happy it’s 2026 and women are still allowed to have microphones.”
Several other major podcasts also took home awards during the ceremony.
“Call Her Daddy” won Best Pop Culture podcast, while “Good Hang With Amy Poehler” took home Best Comedy. “All Songs Considered” won Best Music podcast, and Bravo fan favorite “Watch What Crappens” earned the award for Best TV & Film podcast.
