Wendy and Eddie Osefo are in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, as the Real Housewives of Potomac couple reportedly had their email accounts, bank records, and Instagram accounts seized during a fraud investigation tied to what prosecutors say was a staged robbery at their home in April 2024. Weeks after their arrests, new filings reveal how deep investigators dug to collect evidence against them.

Wendy and Eddie Osefo Investigation Included Seized Emails, Instagram, and Banking Records

According to a report from The U.S. Sun, court filings show the State’s Attorney’s Office issued warrants to Google, Meta, TextNow, Ring Protect, and ADT Services. Investigators gained access to the couple’s Gmail accounts—including one not tied to either of their names—and their Instagram accounts, including @thedrwendyshow and @wendyosefo.

One alleged email Eddie sent Wendy on April 12 reportedly listed stolen items and asked if there were “additional high-value items we can add to this inventory listing (i.e., Chanel shoes, etc.)? I’m trying to get the total to exceed $423,000 which is our policy maximum.”

A warrant was also issued for Wendy’s Apple ID, and discovery included banking information from Ally Bank, American Express, and Capital One, as well as luxury purchase activity from Van Cleef, Louis Vuitton, Saks, and Ascot Diamonds.

Despite the couple suggesting their arrests were unlawful, prosecutors pushed back, saying, “Statements made by the Defendant were voluntary and made after the Defendant was properly advised of his/her rights.”

Filings also show the state wants Wendy and Eddie tried together, stating, “The Defendant will not be prejudiced by a joinder of his/her trial with co-defendants and he/she will not be prejudiced by a joinder of charges.”

Wendy briefly addressed the case at BravoCon, telling fans, “It’s an unfortunate situation, and right now I can’t say too much, but I will say when the time is right, I will share my story with everyone, and for now they’re just allegations, so we will continue to push forward.”

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” season 10 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
