Steve McBee Sr. may be heading to prison, but the “McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” star isn’t going quietly. After pleading guilty in a federal insurance fraud case that could have landed him 30 years behind bars, Steve got off relatively easy — two years in prison and restitution payments. Not exactly a win, but for a man used to taking big risks, it’s about as soft of a landing as you can get.

‘McBee Dynasty’ Cameras Keep Rolling as Steve McBee Sr. Prepares to Report

As filming continues for season 3 of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys,” Steve has been documenting his final days of freedom on social media. Fans can catch up on all the family drama from seasons 1 and 2, which are streaming now on Peacock.

In the meantime, Steve’s been focused on soaking up time at home in Gallatin, Missouri — spending his evenings walking the property, visiting his horses, and reflecting on life before he reports to prison.

On one of his recent Instagram Stories, he shared a Bible verse from Romans 8:28: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” The post featured his two dogs lounging peacefully — a clear sign Steve’s keeping things spiritual before reporting to prison.

In another post, the McBee family patriarch addressed the flood of messages he’s received since the sentencing. “I count my blessings every day for my family and the support they give me,” Steve wrote. “This too shall pass.”

Until his surrender date on December 1, Steve’s been focused on farm life in Gallatin — posting videos of himself chatting with his horses and strolling through the family’s sprawling property. “Beautiful chilly fall evening in North Missouri,” he captioned one recent post, sounding surprisingly at peace despite what’s ahead.

At least fans won’t have to miss him entirely — “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” continues filming, and earlier seasons are available to stream anytime on Peacock.
