The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboysseason 2 may have wrapped on Bravo, but the real-life drama for the McBee family is just heating up. In the finale, Steven McBee Jr. dropped a bombshell when he told his brothers that their father, Steven McBee Sr., had been the subject of an FBI investigation. That shocking scene was filmed months ago — and now, with sentencing just days away, the McBee family is bracing for whatever comes next.

It’s aScaryTime for the McBee Family

According to federal prosecutors, Steven McBee Sr. lied about crop yields to score massive insurance payouts, underreporting his corn and soybean production multiple times. The government eventually caught on, leading to charges of insurance fraud that carry a sentence of up to 30 years in prison. His official sentencing date is September 9.

In a new interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Steven Jr. admitted the family is feeling the weight of the situation. All of the emotions are being stirred leading up to my dad’s sentencing,he said.We love him so much, and love our family unit, so to picture him not being here with us for any amount of time … it’s scary.”

Steven McBee Jr. Calls It aBlack CloudOver the Family

Throughout season 2, Steven Jr. kept his father’s legal troubles under wraps from his brothers, hoping to shield them while they tried to save their farm from financial ruin. But now, as the investigation comes to a close, he says it feels like a constant burden.

I’d be lying if I said that black cloud hasn’t been hanging over us every second of every day since we first found out,he explained. We’re ready to get past that day, deal with whatever comes of it, and move on, to say the least.”

Despite the uncertainty, Steven Jr. says the family is leaning on each other. We know no matter what, if we stick together as a family, we’ll make it through anything,he said.
