Karen Huger is back on TV, but fans aren’t exactly rolling out the welcome mat. In a teaser for the season 10 premiere of “Real Housewives of Potomac,” cameras followed Karen’s release from prison after serving time for her fourth DUI.

While Bravo seemingly wants to turn her comeback into a storyline, viewers online have mixed feelings about whether she deserves the spotlight again.

Fans Sound Off on Karen Huger’s Return

The preview for the season premiere opens with Karen walking out of prison on September 2, telling herself, “It will be fine,” before sliding into an SUV filled with tissues and tinted windows.

But fans watching the sneak peek weren’t buying the redemption arc. Social media lit up with reactions like, “Why is Bravo glorifying this?” and “We didn’t need this storyline.”

Karen, 61, has admitted she doesn’t even recognize the version of herself shown in police bodycam footage from her May 2024 crash. The clips captured her stumbling, slurring, and calling herself “Thomas Jefferson’s concubine” before being arrested.

She later confessed in season 10 that she had “blacked out” that night after mixing alcohol with antidepressants she had self-prescribed at a higher dosage.

On camera, Karen owned up to putting lives in danger, saying, “It’s my fault. I drove. I had that accident. I put people in danger.” Still, fans aren’t sure if accountability is enough to justify Bravo giving her such a dramatic return.

So the question remains: does Karen deserve to keep her champagne flute, or should Bravo retire her storyline for good? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
