Gizelle Bryant might be one of “The Real Housewives of Potomac”’s most iconic figures, but even she’s had moments where she was ready to walk away.
During a new interview, Bryant opened up about the drama surrounding season 10 — including Karen Huger’s release from jail, Monique Samuels’ surprise return, and her evolving relationships with Stacey Rusch and Wendy Osefo — while casually admitting she’s wanted to quit the show “17 times.”
Gizelle Bryant Dishes on Season 10 Drama, Karen Huger’s Release, and Monique Samuels’ Return
“Always, every season at some point, I want to just like, pack my bags and go home,” Bryant confessed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
While Bryant didn’t specify what drove her to that point, she did reveal that she kept in touch with Karen throughout her time behind bars. “I was in communication with her via a friend of hers and Ray [Huger]. I’ve spoken to her since she’s been out, and I’m just happy to have my girl out here in the wild, free,” she said, adding that she “hopes” and “prays” Karen will return full-time for season 11.
On the topic of Monique’s comeback, Bryant admitted she was caught off guard but credited Ashley Darby for softening the news. “Ashley and her have been communicating throughout the years. Monique has been gone for five seasons, and she’s been through a lot. She’s been divorced now, and she has moved, and she doesn’t live in Potomac anymore. I don’t know how many homes she has now, but it’s not four,” she said, throwing in a little shade.
“She claimed she’s changed,” Bryant added slyly, noting she was happy to connect with her former castmate.
Bryant also introduced newcomer Tia Glover to the group. “She meshed, I think, well with the group,” she said.
Elsewhere in the season, Bryant crossed paths with Mauricio Umansky while filming in Aspen. “We were on one of our trips … He was walking down the street, and we saw him and accosted him,” she recalled. She also made it clear she’d “never” date him.
When it comes to cast dynamics, Bryant said she and Stacey are “still not in a good place,” calling her co-star “a liar.” On the other hand, her relationship with Wendy is “healing and thriving.” “I learned a lot about Wendy this season that made me appreciate her as a person a little bit more, so I think we’re on the road to greatness,” she teased.
Before wrapping up, Bryant dropped two more nuggets: she described the season 10 finale as “the biggest loop ever,” and confirmed she and Robyn Dixon won’t get answers in their Reasonably Shady legal drama with Eminem until 2026. And yes, she’s “dating.”
“I like the streets and I know I need to reel it in and settle down but I like the streets … and the mens are calling,” Bryant quipped.
