“Dancing with the Stars” season 34 is already serving up drama — and it hasn’t even aired yet. Fan-favorite pro Mark Ballas, who “retired” after winning season 31 with Charli D’Amelio, is officially back in the ballroom. And his new celebrity partner? None other than “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt.

Whitney admitted she nearly lost her cool when she realized who she’d be dancing with. “When I saw that it was Mark, like jaw wide open. In my mind, I was like, play it cool, play it cool, play it cool. But internally, I was like freaking out,” she told People.
Mark’s return wasn’t just a win for Whitney — fans who’ve been begging for him to come back are equally unhinged. And Ballas himself sounds thrilled. “That’s always the best, when someone is excited to have you as a partner,” he said. “We hit it off pretty quickly – we’ve had a lot of laughs.”
As if that weren’t enough, Whitney has backup on set. Her “Secret Lives” co-star Jen Affleck is also competing this season. “She just had a baby. I just had a baby,” Whitney noted, adding that it’s comforting to have a familiar face on the dance floor.
“Dancing with the Stars” season 34 premieres Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming on Hulu. Ballroom chaos incoming.
