Scheana Shay isn’t holding back. In a bombshell new interview, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum opens up about her regrets, her long-held “home-wrecker” label, and the real reason her friendship with Lisa Vanderpump fell apart.
Scheana Says Lisa Vanderpump ‘Used My Pain to Launch Her TV Empire’
In a July 15 interview with Us Weekly, Scheana took a hard look back at her early reality TV days, including her widely publicized affair with Eddie Cibrian—who was married to “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville at the time.
“[Lisa] low-key used my real-life pain to launch her TV empire — and what an empire she has,” Scheana told the outlet.
She claims that Lisa knew about her affair with Eddie long before bringing her face-to-face with Brandi at a 2013 event featured on RHOBH. “She gaslit me about it for a decade instead of just coming to me in the beginning,” Scheana said. “That’s the thing with Lisa: She doesn’t make mistakes. She makes moves and then calls them coincidences.”
Though the two women were once close, Scheana said things shifted during season 6 of “Vanderpump Rules,” when Lisa allegedly asked her to take the fall for James Kennedy.
“I got a phone call from Lisa. She didn’t want to fire James, so she needed someone to stand up for him [at a staff meeting],” Scheana revealed. “If you go back and watch, I’m getting a death stare from Lisa, like, ‘When are you going to speak up? When are you going to stick to the script?’ That’s when I stopped following her orders, and I feel like the relationship changed after that.”

Scheana has long been criticized for her role in Eddie and Brandi’s split, and the reality star says the public has unfairly vilified her for years.
“I have worn this scarlet letter for so long. I’m this ‘home-wrecking wh*re’ every day in the comments,” she shared. “[But] he’s the one who lied. He is the one who cheated. He is the home-wrecker.”
She added, “I don’t want to say I was innocent, but … I was lied to by a 33-year-old man when I was 21, fresh out of college. I feel like people tend to forget that.”
While Scheana admits there were “red flags,” she said she led “with [her] heart and not [her] brain” and was deeply remorseful for how things unfolded.
“I wasn’t thinking about his wife and toddlers at home,” she said. “People like to say that I make everything about me — this was an instance where I was only thinking about myself… I am so sorry to Brandi for her having to find out about me the way she did. She didn’t deserve that.”
Despite the tabloid-worthy scandal, Scheana said she has never run into Eddie Cibrian or his wife, LeAnn Rimes.
“No, never! LeAnn and I have talked on social media. Brandi and I stay in touch. But Eddie, I have had zero contact and zero run-ins with in 17 years,” she confirmed.
Scheana also pointed to her own recent heartbreak—her husband Brock Davies cheating while she was pregnant—as a painful full-circle moment.
“And lo and behold, look what my husband did to me,” she added.

Well she had no problem accepting the money from VPR. If Lisa was so horrible then why not just leave. Oh that’s probably because S wanted fame and money.
Scheana also profited off her own cheating scandal at the time. She was in her 30’s. She could have told Lisa no. I don’t like it when people play the victim when they are willing participants.
