Dr. Terry Dubrow isn’t holding back after Vicki Gunvalson claimed part of his fortune came from an inheritance left by his late brother, Quiet Riot frontman Kevin Dubrow.
Dr. Dubrow Fires Back at Vicki Gunvalson Over Inheritance Claims
Speaking to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” at his wife’s annual “Champs with Heather Dubrow” event at the Four Seasons in Midtown Manhattan, Terry made it clear he believes Vicki’s comments were completely off base.
“It pissed me off,” Terry admitted when asked about the claim, which came up during the season 20 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
Kevin died in 2007 from an accidental overdose at age 52. As the lead singer of Quiet Riot, he helped make songs like “Cum On Feel the Noize” and “Bang Your Head (Metal Health)” rock classics.
Terry, however, said his own financial success came from decades of hard work.
“Everything I did, I have made on my own, except for what Heather has contributed, which has been major,” he said. “So, to say that I inherited any amount of money from my brother — first of all, factually, it’s just totally incorrect.”
He added that he began working at age 10 and waited tables throughout medical school while building his career as a plastic surgeon.
Terry also called Vicki’s remarks “insensitive,” saying they unfairly involved his late brother.
“It was a mean thing to do to his memory,” he said, explaining that any assets Kevin had at the time of his death would have gone to their mother and were not significant.
“I don’t know why she wanted to pick on our success,” Terry continued. “Maybe that says something about the way she feels about her own level of success, but at the end of the day, it’s just not true.”
Terry Dubrow Says His $100,000 Bet Still Stands
Terry also revealed he still hasn’t heard from Vicki after publicly challenging her to back up her claims with a $100,000 wager during an interview with TMZ.
“It’s been like a ghost town. Tumbleweeds in a town in East Texas that’s been evacuated. Nothing,” he said. “It’s amazing how she’s willing to go on everybody’s podcast and do every interview and make it about that. But when it comes time to put her money where her mouth is, nothing.”
The “Botched” star said the offer remains on the table.
“If you want to say that, fine. Say it. But bet me,” Terry said. “Until you want to bet me $100,000 that I didn’t inherit a dime from my brother, shut up, Vicki. Leave it alone. You’re just wrong.”
