Leave it to a Bravo doctor to break down one of Hollywood’s biggest mysteries: how Brad Pitt still looks like he’s aging in reverse.
Dr. Terry Dubrow, best known to Bravo fans from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and the plastic surgery series “Botched,” recently shared his thoughts on Pitt’s famously youthful appearance.
During an appearance on the “misSpelling” podcast hosted by Tori Spelling, Terry offered his theory about why the Oscar-winning actor seems to have avoided the dramatic aging many stars experience.
And according to Terry, the answer may come down to Pitt’s natural features.
Dr. Terry Dubrow Shares His Brad Pitt Aging Theory
While discussing celebrities who appear to have aged well, Terry pointed to Pitt as one of the rare stars who still looks youthful without appearing overly altered.
“The one who’s sort of gotten away with it — and I don’t know what he’s done — but the one who sort of hasn’t aged at all, and it doesn’t look like plastic surgery, is Brad Pitt,” Terry said on the podcast.
Terry admitted he doesn’t know exactly what procedures Pitt may or may not have had over the years.
“Brad Pitt really looks good,” he continued. “And I don’t know if he’s had a facelift, but we know he has.”
The conversation started when Tori suggested Pitt’s appearance may also be connected to lifestyle changes.
Tori Spelling Credits Brad Pitt’s Lifestyle Changes
Tori pointed out that Pitt has appeared especially refreshed in recent
years.
She suggested that his sobriety and overall lifestyle changes may have played a role in his updated look.
“His overall being and skin and everything got better when he got sober,” Tori said, referencing the actor’s past comments about quitting alcohol.
But Terry had another theory about why Pitt’s appearance still works even as he ages.
Terry Dubrow Says Brad Pitt’s ‘Feminine Beauty’ Plays a Role
According to Terry, Pitt’s facial structure may be the reason cosmetic procedures appear more natural on him than on other men.
“I just mean, why does Brad Pitt at 60, with no wrinkles and no laxity in his face, why does that look OK?” Terry asked. “Whereas another male at 60 or 65 with no wrinkles and no laxity, why do they look weird?”
Terry said he believes it comes down to Pitt’s naturally softer features.
“Because Brad Pitt’s looks are based on feminine beauty,” he explained. “If you look at him in ‘Legends of the Fall,’ he’s hotter than any other female in the movie. He’s prettier.”
Terry also compared Pitt to other famously youthful male celebrities.
After mentioning actors like Rob Lowe and John Stamos, Terry said certain facial features can make cosmetic work appear more natural.
“You can have feminizing plastic surgery and it looks good,” Terry said.
“But if you’re a different kind of handsome, that’s not based on a feminine look, and you have feminizing plastic surgery, it’s super weird.”
Terry summed up his theory simply.
“You have to be a feminine-looking guy to have full plastic surgery when you’re in your 60s, late 50s, early 70s, to not look weird,” he concluded. “There ya go.”
