Charlie Zakkour quickly became one of the most talked-about cast members on Bravo’s “Next Gen NYC,” thanks to his lavish lifestyle, headline-making dating history and memorable one-liners.
Introduced on season 1 as a “crypto trader and private investor who’s been ruling NYC’s club scene since he was 14,” Charlie has never been shy about showing viewers how he lives. But there’s much more to the Bravo personality than luxury apartments and late nights.
Charlie Zakkour Comes From a Wealthy Family—and He’s Open About It
Charlie is believed to have been born around 1996, making him about 29 or 30 years old.
Season 1 made it clear that Charlie enjoys significant financial support from his father, Anwar Zakkour, a retired investment banker and private investor originally from Copenhagen, according to his LinkedIn profile. Charlie’s mother, Elizabeth Williams, is an art collector.
One of Charlie’s most talked-about moments came when he joked with his barber about pretending to pay for a haircut with his own debit card while actually putting the charge on his dad’s account.
His Bravo paycheck may now be the first income fans have actually seen him earn on his own.
The ‘Next Gen NYC’ Star’s Lindsay Lohan Romance Still Has Fans Talking
Perhaps Charlie’s biggest surprise reveal came when he confirmed he once dated Lindsay Lohan while he was still in high school.
During season 1, Georgia McCann revealed the unexpected romance before Charlie confirmed the story during a confessional.
“She would, like, pick me up from school,” he said.
Producers even flashed a photo of Charlie and Lindsay together on screen, adding credibility to the surprising revelation. Lohan has never publicly commented on the relationship.
Charlie’s current love life could become a major storyline in season 2.
Co-star Hudson McLeroy recently admitted he intentionally became friends with Charlie after splitting from Ariana Biermann.
“You know what they say. Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer,” Hudson said. “I was avoiding Charlie flirting with Ariana by being friends with him.”
The season 2 trailer appears to tease exactly that storyline, ending on a cliffhanger after Charlie is asked whether he ever hooked up with Ariana.
Fans also watched Charlie briefly date Brooks Marks‘ younger sister, Chloe, during season 1 before that romance fizzled out.
Charlie Zakkour Was Never Charged in Headline-Making Crypto Investigation
Charlie’s name also made headlines in 2025 after he was spotted in social media footage during the arrest of cryptocurrency investor John Woeltz, who was later charged alongside William Duplessie in an alleged kidnapping and torture case involving Italian crypto investor Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan.
Sources told Page Six that Charlie occasionally stayed at the Manhattan apartment where the arrests took place.
Charlie was never arrested or charged with any wrongdoing and has not been accused of involvement in the alleged crimes. Reports stated he simply happened to be at the residence when authorities arrived.
Separately, The US Sun reported Charlie was arrested in Miami Beach in 2014 on alleged trespassing and cannabis possession charges. The outlet reported he entered a not guilty plea before prosecutors later dismissed the case, and the arrest was removed from public records.
Fans can also find Charlie on Instagram at @charliezakkour, where he has more than 7,000 followers, although he posts only occasionally.
