Married to Medicine casting is finally underway ahead of Season 13, which is expected to begin filming in the coming months.
Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and Angel Love Davis are said to be exiting the series, while Season 12 newcomer Brandi Milton is being promoted to full-time. Dr. Heavenly Kimes is also in talks to be promoted back to full-time following her demotion last season.
The tentative cast currently consists of Dr. Jackie Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Dr. Mimi Sanders, Toya Bush-Harris, Quad Webb, and Brandi Milton, with Dr. Heavenly in a TBD role.
Former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shamari DeVoe, who is currently pursuing a career in nursing, is also said to be in talks to join the series. There has also been discussion about bringing back Mariah Huq in a friend capacity.
Producers are aiming to prioritize new doctors and doctors’ wives connected to more high-profile specialties, such as cardiology and neurosurgery.
Meanwhile, Bravo ultimately decided against pursuing a return for former cast member Anila Sajja.
