Carl Radke is speaking out about Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship, and it sounds like the fallout from the “Summer House” season 10 reunion is still fresh.
During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Carl revealed that his friendship with Amanda is currently on shaky ground following the reunion taping. He also admitted that his relationship with West is essentially non-existent as tensions continue to rise among the cast.
While Carl said he and Amanda have exchanged texts since the reunion, he made it clear that he’s still processing everything that happened.
“We’ve texted after the reunion. She wished me luck in London, at the marathon. She wanted to try and catch up at some point … but I’m also just taking some time here,” Carl shared.
Carl Radke Claims Amanda Batula’s Behavior Changed Before West Wilson Romance
As Amanda’s relationship with West continues to dominate conversation among fans, Carl said he’s been looking back at last summer’s events differently.
One moment that stood out to him was Amanda’s conversation with Mia Calabrese during the May 5 episode of “Summer House,” when they discussed the possibility of West reconnecting with Ciara Miller.
“I know how much Mia really cares for Ciara, and what Amanda was saying — and then what we’re watching and dealing with now — it’s disappointing,” Carl said.
He went on to suggest that he noticed a shift in Amanda’s behavior long before her romance with West became public.
“I do care for Amanda, but what I’ve seen and heard over the last year and a half — like, something kind of changed last spring … her energy around Kyle was like he didn’t even exist,” he said.
Carl also admitted that watching Amanda and West interact throughout season 10 has been difficult.
“It’s uncomfortable to watch,” he said.
The ‘Summer House’ OG Criticizes West Wilson’s Behavior Toward Amanda Batula
Carl was especially critical of some of the physical interactions between Amanda and West that played out on camera.
He pointed to a moment during the May 5 episode when West moved his chair closer to Amanda during a tense dinner conversation involving Kyle Cooke. Afterward, Amanda thanked West for supporting her and told him, “I love you” before the two hugged.
Looking back, Carl said some of West’s actions crossed a line.
“I will say, like some of West’s hands on a woman who’s married, I’m not cool with,” he explained.
“Like, you don’t touch women in their midriff or their neck if they’re in a committed relationship like that. I don’t care how friendly you are. Some of the touching — watching back — is really uncomfortable, and not okay.”
Carl also revealed that he and West are no longer communicating.
“He texted me two different times right after the reunion. I appreciate the texts … but I — even things that I’ve learned over the last week, has just been like … the stuff keeps piling on and piling on. It’s messy,” he said.
When Andy Cohen asked if he believed Amanda and West’s relationship would last, Carl didn’t hesitate.
“Absolutely not,” he replied.
Carl Radke Teases Emotional ‘Summer House’ Season 10 Reunion
According to Carl, viewers should prepare for plenty of drama when the reunion continues.
“I was hoping going into it we could set a higher standard for ourselves, but within two minutes, the wheels were off,” he teased.
Carl described the taping as an emotional experience for the cast.
“I think we were learning things in real time, which also was very hard for a lot of us to digest. There’s real hurt. There’s real emotions. There’s real lies. We’re a real family, and it was uncomfortable,” he said.
Despite the tension, Carl believes the cast made some progress by airing their grievances.
“I do think there was some slight progress because we got it all out,” he shared. “But, it was nuts.”
With friendships fractured, emotions still running high, and more revelations expected to come, it appears the fallout from Amanda and West’s relationship is far from over.
Part 2 of the “Summer House” season 10 reunion airs Tuesday on Bravo.
