After years of legal drama, Gina Kirschenheiter’s fiancé, Travis Mullen, has officially been awarded primary physical and legal custody of the three children he shares with ex-wife Meghan Mullen.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ on May 20, an Orange County judge signed off on the custody order on May 13. Travis, 40, was granted primary custody of daughters Presley, 14, Bennett, 12, and son Joey, 9, following months of court proceedings tied to allegations involving missed drug tests and concerns about the children’s school attendance.
The ruling states that Meghan will have visitation with Presley and Bennett, as well as supervised visits with Joey. She was also ordered to submit to drug and alcohol testing as part of the agreement.
The former couple, who split in 2016, were additionally instructed to keep communication “civil, courteous, and polite.” Previous court rulings also reportedly barred Meghan from attending the children’s sporting events without supervision.
RHOC Star Gina Kirschenheiter Previously Called the Situation ‘Awful’
Fans of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” have watched Gina and Travis navigate the stress of the custody battle while blending their families together. Gina, 42, shares three children with her ex-husband, Matthew Kirschenheiter, and has been dating Travis since 2019.
Earlier this year, Gina opened up to Us Weekly about how deeply the custody dispute was affecting their household.
“It’s awful,” Gina said. “It does affect us so greatly and it is hurting the kids and I’m just at this place where I’m like, ‘It’s not fair,’ and I don’t feel like it’s completely wild or out of bounds to sit here and say, ‘What’s happening to me and my family is unfair.’”
She continued, “It will never make sense to me, but we operate around it as best we can.”
The custody update comes just months after Gina and Travis got engaged during a New Year’s Eve family ski trip in Big Bear, California.
Despite the legal challenges surrounding Travis’ custody case, Gina and Travis have continued moving forward together publicly.
The couple’s engagement marked a major milestone after years of dating, co-parenting, and navigating life in the public eye while filming RHOC.
