Congrats are officially in order for Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen. The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star and her longtime boyfriend announced their engagement on Jan. 7, and yes — the ring is very on-brand for Gina: classic, meaningful, and definitely not small.
Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen Confirm Engagement
Gina and Travis confirmed their engagement to People, sharing that he proposed on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2025, while the couple was vacationing in Big Bear, California, with their kids. The proposal marked a big moment for the blended family, and the engagement ring tells that story clearly.
The ring features a 6-carat oval-cut center diamond set in 18-carat gold, flanked by three smaller diamonds on each side. According to the couple, the design is symbolic: the center stone represents Gina and Travis, while the six side stones represent their six children from previous marriages.
“The ring is absolutely perfect!” Gina told the outlet. “The thought he put into it blows my mind.”

The ring also aligns closely with what Gina previously said she wanted. In 2025, months before the proposal, she opened up to The Daily Dish about her ideal engagement ring.
“I honestly would just like a nice big round stone, like, nothing busy,” she said at the time. “I feel like [in] my first marriage, my ring was very busy. And I just feel like I’m a different person now, so I just would want something very simple, classic, timeless, but not small. I mean, yeah, come on.”
While the final ring ended up being oval-cut rather than cushion or round, it clearly checked Gina’s boxes — clean design, major sparkle, and a personal touch.

Gina has previously said she was open to marrying Travis but never felt pressure around it.
“So would I say no? No. I would absolutely say yes,” she shared at the time. “I’m not thirsty for a ring, but I wouldn’t mind one.”
As for the proposal itself, Gina said the moment caught her completely off guard.
“I was in complete shock!” she told People. “My nervous system was trying to catch up to what just happened… I of course said ‘yes,’ and melted into what was the sweetest kiss I’ve ever felt.”
Between the sentimental design and the timing, this engagement feels very Gina — heartfelt, thoughtful, and just a little bit extra in the best way.
