Robert Cosby Jr., the son of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Mary Cosby, has died at the age of 23.
According to TMZ, Robert died Monday in Utah. Police in Salt Lake City confirmed they responded Monday night to a call for a “full arrest/medical emergency” involving a 23-year-old male. Fire and paramedics were also dispatched to the scene. Authorities said the call later turned into a death investigation. The official cause of death has not been confirmed, though police responded to what was reported as a possible overdose.
Robert appeared on RHOSLC over several seasons. During season 4, Mary learned that Robert had secretly married Alexiana Smokoff without telling her. The couple reportedly wed at a Utah courthouse in August 2022. Robert and Alexiana’s alleged struggles with substance use were also discussed as part of Mary’s storyline on the Bravo series.
His death comes just months after Alexiana filed for divorce.
Robert had also faced legal troubles in recent years. He was arrested in Utah in September on multiple alleged charges, including trespassing and assault. In 2022, he was arrested for DUI after police said he did not have a valid license and failed to follow traffic laws. He later pleaded guilty to the DUI charge.
Robert was 23 years old.
