Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Jr., has landed back in legal trouble. On Saturday, the 22-year-old was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including assault and trespassing, following an alleged attempted break-in at his father-in-law’s home.

Robert Jr.’s Latest Arrest Raises Eyebrows

According to TMZ, police responded to a call just outside Salt Lake City on September 11, where Robert Jr. allegedly tried to crawl through a dog door at the house—reportedly belonging to his wife Alexiana’s father—before getting into a fight in the front yard. Officers say he initially refused to comply but eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.

Robert Jr. now faces several charges: failing to stop at the command of law enforcement, criminal trespassing, assault, and three violations of a prior court order. His bail was set at $5,000.

This isn’t his first run-in with the law. In 2022, Robert Jr. was arrested for DUI, later raising eyebrows again when he allegedly failed to prove he completed court-ordered rehab. On season five of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary spoke openly about his struggle with pill addiction, insisting at the reunion that rehab had helped.

Ironically, just days before his latest arrest, Mary told SiriusXM’s Reality Checked that her son was still on a “hardcore road” with sobriety. “You can’t do it if your mind’s not made upit’s tough to watch as a mom,” she admitted.

RHOSLC season six premieres September 16 on Bravo.
