Teddi Mellencamp is opening up about her health after her father, musician John Mellencamp, shared a deeply concerning update during a recent podcast appearance.

While appearing on the January 14 episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” John, 74, revealed that his daughter has been struggling amid her ongoing cancer battle. “I do have a daughter that’s really sick. It’s not (expletive) fun,” he said. “She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now.”

The comments came just days before Teddi, 44, returned to her own podcast, “Two Ts in a Pod,” which she co-hosts with Tamra Judge. On the January 16 episode, Teddi addressed her recent absence and shared more about what she’s been dealing with behind the scenes.

“I’ve been doing a lot of therapy. A lot of rest. A lot of hanging with the family,” Teddi explained. She also revealed she’s been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder following the past year of medical treatments and uncertainty. “I’m struggling with like, massive PTSD from everything that happened, and I didn’t really realize it,” she said. “So I’m starting to feel a little better. The cloud is lifting.”

Fans of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” know Teddi first shared her brain cancer diagnosis nearly one year ago, after doctors discovered multiple tumors in her brain and lungs. Reflecting on the timeline, she admitted, “One year … It’s so crazy.”

Despite her father’s somber comments, Teddi reassured listeners that she’s currently in a stable place. When asked if things were okay, she responded, “Everything’s good as can be.”

Teddi previously revealed that recent scans showed no detectable cancer, though her treatment is far from over. She remains on immunotherapy and has been clear about the long road ahead. “I’m not considered in remission or anything like that,” she explained. “I’m still gonna be having days when I’m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy. So I’m still fighting, because you have to be.”
