Meredith Marks is brushing off the chatter. Ahead of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” season 6 premiere on September 16, the jewelry designer and caviar brand founder is setting the record straight about her marriage to Seth Marks — and it sounds like things are better than ever.
Meredith Marks Says Marriage to Seth Is ‘Really Positive and Great’
In a new interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Meredith shared what she’s most excited for fans to see this season: “Contrary to what my castmates may see, my dynamic with my husband, which is actually really positive and great.”\
Sure, Meredith admitted she and Seth have “some little squabbles,” but she insists those are just part of a healthy relationship. “The ones who are trying to say their marriages are all perfect are the ones who usually have the biggest problems,” she quipped. “So, I’m happy to show that.”
Seth’s new role as Senior Vice President of Wholesale Solutions at GA Group has only made things easier. Now that he works remotely, Meredith says there’s less conflict. “There’s so much flexibility for him to be wherever I need to be, and that makes things a lot easier,” she explained. Plus, Seth is showing up at her events — even the DJ gigs.
It’s a far cry from earlier seasons, where Seth’s constant travel was one of their biggest issues. As Meredith put it back in season 5, his business trips sometimes “snowball into this beast where it’s like, hard for us to even connect.” Now, she says they’re enjoying life, traveling together, and spending more time as a couple.
Of course, just because her marriage is steady doesn’t mean her friendships are. At DIRECTV’s Plot Twist – Featuring Bravo event in New York City, Meredith said it was “frustrating” to hear “a lot of lies” being spread about her during filming. “I don’t do it to other people, I don’t spread lies,” she said. “I don’t get it, but I don’t control anyone but myself.”
Meredith and Seth, who married in 1996 at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago, share three children: Reid, Chloe, and “Next Gen NYC” star Brooks Marks. As Meredith reminded fans during season 1, she and Seth fell in love young and fast — and nearly 30 years later, she’s still all in.
