Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are opening a steakhouse, but let’s be real — all anyone cares about is the Taylor Swift Easter egg hiding on the cocktail menu.
The Alchemy Cocktail Has Swifties Talking
In a promo reel for 1587 Prime, Kelce’s new Kansas City steakhouse, a server presents The Alchemy — a cocktail wrapped in a cucumber ribbon, topped with a citrus twist and tiny red roses. Kelce looks at it and says, “Oh yeah, I see it,” while Patrick Mahomes takes a sip and nods in approval. That’s all it took for Swifties to lose their minds.
The name lines up perfectly with “The Alchemy” from Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” — her football-coded love song about touchdowns, trophies, and a champagne-bubbly kind of love that “hits…like white wine.”
Nobody’s spilling the exact recipe yet, but the garnish is bright and romantic, and the title does all the heavy lifting. Add in the fact that Kelce and Swift just confirmed their engagement (yes, the garden photos and the ring), and this feels like a sly little toast to their love story.
@chloeandpercy 🥩 Travis Kelce is honouring fiancée Taylor Swift in a very sweet way at his new steakhouse! He has named one of the signature cocktails on the menu The Alchemy, after Swift’s song on The Tortured Poets Department which is widely thought to be about him. 1587 Prime opens on 17th September in Kansas City! #chiefskingdom #traviskelce #taylorswiftnews #taylorswiftengaged #taylorandtravis
Travis Kelce’s 1587 Prime: Steak, Ketchup Flights, and Over-the-Top Sides
Of course, 1587 Prime is more than Easter egg cocktails. The steakhouse menu is stacked with luxe offerings, including Japanese A5 Wagyu New York strip, a boneless ribeye, and a massive 40-ounce Wagyu tomahawk served tableside. Diners can level up with lobster tails, crab, bone marrow, or blue cheese, plus an array of butters and sauces.
The sides are just as extra: a twice-baked potato stuffed with smoked Gouda, beef bacon, and truffle, or steak tartare with wagyu, egg yolk, and truffle aioli.
@nbcnews #TravisKelce and PatrickMahomes’ steakhouse, 1587 Prime, is set to open in KansasCity, Missouri, on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
There’s even a “Mahomes Ketchup Flight,” a cheeky nod to his much-debated love of ketchup on steak. Not feeling beef? Try the togarashi fried chicken with hot, chive, and wasabi honey.
1587 Prime officially opens September 17, and while the food will likely draw crowds, The Alchemy is already the menu star.
