TheNext Gen NYC’ Star Calls Treatment theBest Thing I Ever Decided to Do’

After a month of inpatient treatment, Georgia says she’s in a much better place. It’s the best thing I ever decided to do … I’m feeling amazing now,she shared.I had to learn to love myself … I know it sounds cheesy, but I’m thankful I’m alive.”

She explained that her disorder wasn’t just about appearance — it was about control. It started in eighth grade. There were things going on at home, I felt depressedthis was a way to take control when I couldn’t control anything else.”

Now, Georgia is practicing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), focusing on reframing her relationship with food and her body.Letting go of control is like true freedom, she said. It’s like this vessel that lets me love people, create, and travel … For so long it was just a disposable object to me.”
