Get the “Mirrorball” ready, Swifties! Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour might be over, but one of her breakout backup dancers is stepping into a brand-new spotlight. Fan-favorite Jan Ravnik has officially joined “Dancing With the Stars” season 34 as a pro dancer.

The announcement came on “Good Morning America,” just two days after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement news. “Mirrorball never goes out of style, and we are ready to win it,” Ravnik teased during the live reveal.
Ravnik became a social media heartthrob during the Eras Tour, with his onstage charisma and jawline racking up millions of views on TikTok and Instagram. When the tour wrapped last December, he thanked Swift in a heartfelt Instagram post:
@janravnik But it is no secret that I can’t lip sync 😂😅 #dwts @Dancing with the Stars #DWTS
“I never imagined I’d be performing in front of sold-out stadiums across the globe… Thank you to Taylor for setting a bar so high it made every one of us rise to the challenge. We’ve created memories, we’ve shared laughs and tears along the way. I am not the same person I was 2 years ago and I can easily say these were the best years of my life.”
From the Eras Stage to the Mirrorball Trophy
While Swifties know him best from the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” film, Jan Ravnik has serious credentials beyond Swift’s empire. The Slovenian dancer has performed with Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, and Paula Abdul, and he’s hit stages at the Oscars and the Billboard Music Awards. He’s also racked up National, European, and World champion dance titles.
Most recently, Ravnik choreographed a contemporary routine with reigning DWTS champion Jenna Johnson set to Kelly Clarkson’s cover of “Happier Than Ever.” The performance earned praise from pros Val Chmerkovskiy, Daniella Karagach, and Alan Bersten — plus alums like Kaitlyn Bristowe and Chrishell Stause. Fans immediately speculated he was headed for DWTS season 34.
While some reports suggested Ravnik would be “replacing” veteran Gleb Savchenko, a source clarified he’s an exciting new addition, not a replacement.
The full cast of celebrities and pro dancers will be announced on September 3 on “Good Morning America.” For now, ABC has confirmed that Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, and “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt will all be competing for the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy this fall.
