Dolores Catania may not be done with reality TV just yet. While “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” remains on pause after a chaotic season 14, Catania has found herself in front of the Bravo cameras once again—this time as a guest on the network’s newest franchise, “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.” Rumors quickly spread that the RHONJ star had switched franchises, but according to her, she’s simply stopping by.
Dolores Catania: ‘I’m Just Visiting’—But Stirring the Pot Anyway
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Dolo set the record straight about her role on “RHORI.” “I’m just visiting,” she said. “I have one friend there… I’m helping out. Let’s say that.” When asked if she was bringing the drama, she laughed, “Yeah… it’s so great to tell the other girls to fight because they’re not. I don’t know them as well.”
Dolores echoed those comments during an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live. “Well, I’m not gonna be a star, and I will visit maybe,” she said, describing the new cast as “wild,” though still no match for Jersey. “They’re not Jersey, but we’ll see. Jersey is its own thing, you know?”
What RHORI Means for RHONJ’s Future
Bravo announced “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” in May 2025, expanding the franchise to nine active cities. The new series arrives at a time when “RHONJ” is on hold after falling ratings and an irreparable cast divide.
While Dolores hasn’t confirmed whether she’ll return to “RHONJ” full-time, she remains active in the Bravo-verse and has even teased her insights on “Two Ts in a Pod.” “You’ve gotta go far to beat Jersey,” she said.
Even if she’s just a visitor in Rhode Island, Catania’s presence alone proves she’s still one of Bravo’s most reliable scene-stealers—no matter the zip code.
