Producers are wasting no time getting The Real Housewives of Miami Season 8 off the ground, with filming set to begin shortly after the reunion airs, which is a sharp contrast to last year’s extended break. While there won’t be any major shakeups, a few cast changes are already in motion.
As of now, Julia Lemigova is not expected to return, largely due to fan backlash over her feud with Guerdy Abraira. Carmen Carrera, who filmed in a limited capacity this season, will also not be moving forward, not for any personal reasons, but simply because producers felt she didn’t make a strong enough impact.
Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Lisa Hochstein, Guerdy Abraira, and Stephanie Shojaee will all be back in full-time roles. Adriana De Moura, Marysol Patton, and Kiki Barth will once again return as friends of the cast. Overall, producers are happy with the current cast, including Julia, but they’re staying realistic about potential changes.
One surprising development is that Joanna Krupa is actively in talks to return. Producers have been trying to bring her back for years with no success, but this time, discussions are actually moving forward.
Despite fan interest in her return, a full-time comeback on RHOM for Nicole Martin currently seems unlikely, as she’s prioritizing both her career and mental health, though that could change by fall. Producers had expected some sparks by casting her husband’s ex-girlfriend, Stephanie, but the storyline quickly fizzled.
Several new faces are being considered to join the cast. Paulina Rubio, the Mexican pop legend has been in talks for some time and remains a strong contender. Julissa Bermudez, the Dominican-American TV host best known for 106 & Park and Empire Girls, is also being looked at. The final two names are Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Universe 2006, who shot to global fame in the “Despacito” video, and Ashley Nicole, wife of former NFL linebacker Phillip Wheeler and star of WAGS Miami, who has test filmed in the past.

I know unpopular opinion, but I don’t mind Julia.
Everything happens in South Florida about mid-October through Easter. This tracks.

Ew…not Joanna. I don’t quite know what it is about her, but she gives me the ick. It started when she was on Dancing with the Stars. And yeah, see ya Julia. The way she has treated Guerdy this season is awful. Won’t be sad to see her leave.
I don’t mind Julia either! But Joanna was so exhausting to watch, I hope they rethink that 🙃
I’m really bummed that we won’t see more of Carmen. They didn’t even give her a chance and she actually seems like she could bring something to the table. I never want to see Julia again.
Miami has 9000 cast members, w basically full cast members credited as Friend Of. They’re going to need 4 couches for the reunions if they keep adding more 😆
Julia needs to go. She tried to fit in with the “cool” girls and showed her true colors. She’s exhausting, uninteresting and always playing the victim. Go take care of the babies you adopted.
Julia can 1000% go! I wouldn’t mind Joanna coming back. Id also like to see Lea Black come around again in the future. I hope Nicole might come back but I get her wanting to prioritise her family & mental health- but she brings something to the show
