People in the know are predicting jail time for Karen Huger from RHOP. The attorney she picked for her sentencing had zero connections in Montgomery county.
The attorney Karen used for her prior MoCo DUl’s had connections and was good, she should’ve stuck with him.
New attorney has connections, was a former prosecutor and highly respected. Though those of us who work around the courthouse also know this judge doesn’t shy away from sending people to jail… and won’t be swayed by her “fame” or her recent admittance to treatment.
She got a pbj (probation before judgment, which means a guilty but it got cleared from her record) the first time, she has another one in VA and a third in Montgomery County. For sentencing here it weighs heavily in your favor if you do treatment immediately and admit fault. She didn’t and with her record everyone is predicting at least 90 days, possibly more.
Dave Martella is her new attorney and he is good, so he might be able to keep it down to 60, but everyone is predicting she gets some jail time.

Good!! She should get a minimum of 90 days. She could’ve seriously hurt somebody and has clearly not learned any lessons from her previous DUI’s

She needs jail time. If she gets away with it again, it’ll just empower her to keep putting people’s lives in danger. Lock her up!
As she should! Repeat offenders don’t deserve a DL either.
She needs jail time maybe it will wake Karen up before she kills somebody or herself.
