Friday was Hoda Kotb’s last day at the Today Show with lots of fanfare, highlight reels and recorded messages of well wishes. Many noticed that Sheinelle Jones was absent, with not even a recorded message from her. She actually hasn’t been on since before the holidays. My cousin works for NBC, and says the writing is on the wall — she’s out, Tamron hall style. Don’t you think if Sheinelle was on assignment or even on vacation, she’d at least have sent a message or called in?!

Savannah, Dylan, and Laura Jarrett are their show pony women anchors… And for some reason, Jenna Bush too 😵‍💫

    This is the norm with NBC. It’s not the first time they’ve done this to Black women anchors. Tiffany Cross, MHP, Tamron were all done dirty by NBC. She’s a great anchor so this is unfortunate.

    I sure hope not. They did say she was out for vacation during the 3rd hour when Jill was filling in, so I’ll just hope that truly the case. I really like her.

    Has anyone heard or seen an update from Sheinelle (or the show) since she said she’s taking time away?!? I’m worried!! Radio silence since January….

    ??? Why are you still posting this? She said she’s taking time away to deal with a family health matter. She needs prayers not gossip

    Shenelle posted on her Instagram story that she’s taking time for a personal family issue. That’s what the anchors are saying continuously. I find it hard to believe they’d fire her because all of the current anchors have taken time for family issues. Dylan’s son had Celiac, but they couldn’t figure it out for a while and she took a lot of time then. Hoda took time when her daughter was hospitalized. Craig took time when his brother passed away from colon cancer. If she were fired they wouldn’t continue to say “she’s taking time to deal with a family matter”. I’m with Kelsey in that she needs prayers.
