I know nothing about trademarking or the food industry but why would the owners of the restaurant not have the trademarks in their name?
Yikes! This is not smart of Katie and Ariana. I thought Chef Penny was a paid consultant, not partner. Sounded like Katie and Ariana chose the name, theme and all. Did Chef Penny get a cut of the merch as well? No wonder she was taking lead at the interview, despite the girls side eye I wonder if she is as important as the guy who was the lease holder, the Toms had to contend with…
Why would they let someone have their name. I think this is chefs place and their pretending their place and getting a cut

Oh my god that is a horrible business decision. Why would you allow anyone else to take a trademark on your business? Or use someone else’s? 🤦♀️
