I’m honestly not surprised, while I loved the idea of them as best friends and finding love together but it just felt all too soon after his sobriety, especially if she started drinking again. I know couples can make it as one sober and the other not (I am married to my husband who is 22 years sober and I still drink occasionally) but his was very fresh and the program recommends at least a year or two before getting into any serious relationship or big life decisions. I do wish them both the best but my gut feeling was always it wasn’t the healthiest relationship.
Didn’t we all think it was a PR stunt anyway? Glad we never have to hear “babe” every 20 seconds now. 🙌🏽 I’m not surprised and don’t particularly care.
