It doesn’t look like Shamea Morton Mwangi and Porsha Williams are putting their longtime friendship back together anytime soon.
After one of the biggest blowups of season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Shamea confirmed the two are still not speaking. During a July 19 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” she revealed the drama has continued even after filming wrapped.
“The drama’s still happening,” Shamea said, referring to activity on social media. “I agreed to move on from it at reunion and that’s what I’m planning on doing. … At this point, where do you go? I mean, we’ve already gone to hell.”
The update comes after the former childhood best friends reached a breaking point during the cast trip to Scotland, where an emotional dinner argument pulled both of their families into the conflict.
RHOA Season 17 Took Shamea and Porsha’s Feud to a New Level
Shamea and Porsha had been close since childhood, with their mothers also sharing a longtime friendship. After appearing as a “friend of” for years, Shamea joined “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” as a full-time Housewife, and that’s when cracks in the friendship became impossible to ignore.
The tension first surfaced during season 16 before spilling into season 17.
During Episode 14’s cast dinner in Scotland, Shamea claimed Porsha’s mother had wronged her own mother years earlier during a business dispute.
Porsha fired back, saying she had already discussed the accusation with her mother, Ms. Diane, before making allegations of her own about Shamea’s family.
By the end of the heated exchange, both women made it clear they no longer wanted each other in their lives.
After Shamea walked away from the table in tears, Porsha told the group, “What I see in those eyes is the same (expletive) I’ve seen in anybody’s eyes who wish hate upon me. … Now, until that spirit get up off of her, I ain’t (expletive) with it.”
In a confessional, she added, “It’s (expletive) over.”
Shamea Morton Reveals What She Still Misses About Porsha Williams
Despite confirming the friendship remains over, Shamea admitted there are still parts of her relationship with Porsha that she misses.
When Andy Cohen asked her to name three things she misses most, she answered without hesitation.
“We cut up real bad when we actin’ silly and outside,” Shamea said.
She also mentioned her close relationship with Porsha’s sister, Lauren Williams, and Porsha’s daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley.
“And just the ability to text if I’m going through something or need some advice on something or just need to laugh,” she added.
