Bravo has officially added another familiar face to season 16 of “The Real Housewives of New York City.”

According to Deadline, reality television veteran Devyn Simone will appear as a friend of the cast in the upcoming season. She joins returning cast members Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, and Jessel Taank, along with newcomers Hailey Glassman, Erika Hammond, and Daisy Toye.

The casting news also comes as former Housewife Carole Radziwill is set to return to the franchise in a friend role.

Devyn Simone Is No Stranger to Reality Television

While some Bravo viewers may be meeting Devyn for the first time, reality TV fans have known her for years.

Devyn first appeared on MTV’s “The Real World: Brooklyn” in 2009 before becoming a fan favorite on multiple seasons of “The Challenge.” Despite not fitting the mold of a typical challenge beast, she became known for her humor, confessionals, and ability to outperform expectations.

She eventually reached two finals during her time on the competition series and later remained involved with the franchise through after-shows and podcasts.

Devyn has also built a successful career outside of reality television.

Over the years, she has become a nationally recognized dating expert and matchmaker, appearing on “Today,” “Good Morning America,” “The Sherri Shepherd Show,” “Access Hollywood,” and “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Her personal motto?

“Drink water and date someone who deserves you.”

Bravo Fans May Remember Devyn From a Previous RHONY Appearance

This isn’t actually Devyn’s first connection to the New York Housewives franchise.

She previously appeared during season 13 of “The Real Housewives of New York City” and reportedly tested for a role before Bravo rebooted the series in 2023.

Now she’s officially getting another shot at the franchise.

The addition comes as Bravo continues to reshape the cast following another round of changes. With Carole returning and several new faces joining the group, season 16 is already shaping up to look very different from recent years.

The Dating Expert Wed Adam Lock in 2023

Away from television, Devyn married Adam Lock in June 2023 during a wedding in her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.

“Adam is the kindest, most supportive and thoughtful person I know. He loves with his whole heart,” Devyn told People at the time. “It’s an honor to even know him, let alone marry him.”

The couple’s love story actually began with a dating app. After initially meeting in 2017 and going their separate ways, they reconnected three years later and quickly became serious.

“It’s as if my heart felt a special kind of peace the moment I (re)met him,” Devyn said. “It’s like we speak the same language. We understand each other in a way that no one else does.”

The wedding was officiated by Devyn’s longtime friend and collaborator Clinton Kelly, with whom she co-hosted TLC’s “Love at First Swipe.”

Between her reality TV experience, media career, and existing Bravo connections, Devyn arrives on “RHONY” with a résumé unlike anyone else currently in the cast.

Bravo has not yet announced a premiere date for season 16 of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” but cameras are already rolling in New York City.
