“The Real Housewives of Potomac” stars Wendy Osefo and Eddie Osefo officially learned when their highly publicized insurance fraud trial will begin.

According to a May 20 report from The Baltimore Banner, Wendy and Eddie appeared in Carroll County Circuit Court on Wednesday for a status conference tied to their ongoing legal case. During the hearing, the couple learned their joint trial is scheduled to begin January 25, 2027, and is expected to continue through January 29.

The Bravo stars were previously charged with insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and making false statements to a police officer after prosecutors accused them of staging a burglary at their Maryland home in April 2024.

Investigators alleged Wendy and Eddie claimed approximately $450,000 worth of designer handbags, jewelry, and luxury items had been stolen while they vacationed in Jamaica with their children.

Wendy Osefo and Eddie Osefo Continue Fighting Fraud Allegations

In the months following the reported burglary, investigators allegedly discovered several items the couple claimed were stolen had previously been returned to stores for refunds.

According to prosecutors, deputies also uncovered 67 credit and debit cards in wallets recovered during the investigation, including a Chanel wallet the couple had allegedly reported stolen.

During previous hearings, prosecutors also pointed to what they described as financial struggles facing the couple.

However, Wendy and Eddie’s attorney, Jeremy Eldridge, strongly denied those claims in court.

“There is no evidence that the Osefos are in financial distress,” Eldridge argued.

Despite that argument, Judge Richard R. Titus ruled in favor of prosecutors, allowing the state access to eight years of the couple’s financial records as part of the ongoing investigation.

Wendy previously discussed her arrest and brief time in custody during an episode of RHOP.

“It was scary,” Wendy admitted. “You completely lose your autonomy.”

Bravo Cameras Were Reportedly Present at Court Hearing

The Baltimore Banner also reported that Bravo cameras filmed Wendy and Eddie arriving at and leaving Wednesday’s hearing, signaling the ongoing legal drama could become part of a future season storyline.

According to the outlet, Wendy wore a bright yellow pantsuit paired with Christian Louboutin heels for the appearance, while Eddie wore a suit with a Burberry tie.

The hearing itself reportedly lasted only a few minutes.

Bravo has not yet announced an official premiere date for season 11 of “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” though filming has reportedly continued amid the couple’s ongoing legal battle.

The trial date now sets up what could become one of the franchise’s biggest storylines heading into 2027.
