“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is officially gearing up for another season — but it sounds like not everyone is guaranteed a return ticket to MomTok.
According to TMZ, production is preparing to resume filming after the series temporarily paused earlier this year following the reported altercation involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen. But while the women are reportedly ready to get cameras rolling again, the future of the husbands and boyfriends is suddenly looking very shaky.
And honestly? Producers may not exactly be fighting to keep them around.
‘DadTok’ Reportedly Flopped as Producers Reevaluate the Men
TMZ reported that some of the male cast members allegedly banded together to demand more money before returning for the next season.
However, another source claimed the decision may not actually be up to them.
Per the report, producers allegedly feel the men simply are not delivering enough value to justify expanded roles or bigger paychecks — especially after fans seemingly rejected the group’s recent “DadTok” attempt.
The women, meanwhile, continue to be viewed as the real stars of the Hulu hit.
At this point, the husbands and boyfriends may be getting phased out before they can even negotiate.
Taylor Frankie Paul’s Future on ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Still Unclear
Taylor’s status also remains a major question mark after the show halted production in March amid a reported dispute with Dakota, prompting a police investigation.
The former couple now reportedly have dual restraining orders against one another, making Dakota’s return unlikely.
Still, Taylor recently hinted she may not be done with the series just yet.
On Instagram, Taylor reposted a clip of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” producer Jeff Jenkins, who said she was welcome back and that he hoped she would return.
So while MomTok may survive another season, DadTok appears to be hanging on by a thread.
