Taylor Frankie Paul is facing a major custody update as her legal battle with her ex, Dakota Mortensen, continues to unfold. TheSecret Lives of Mormon Wivesstar was granted limited, supervised visitation with their two-year-old son, Ever, following a recent court hearing in Utah.

According to reports, Taylor will be allowed just eight hours per week with Ever, broken up into shorter visits of two to three hours at a time until the next hearing scheduled for April 30. The temporary arrangement comes as Dakota seeks to make a restraining order, initially granted in March, permanent.

The custody decision comes amid ongoing investigations into domestic violence allegations made by Dakota. Authorities are still reviewing claims tied to multiple incidents, including one earlier this year and another dating back to 2024, TMZ reported.

During the hearing, a court-appointed guardian spoke on Ever’s behalf and raised concerns about Taylor’s behavior, according to US Weekly. The guardian referenced an alleged incident from May 2024, claiming Taylor pushed Dakota while he was holding their child, nearly causing him to fall.

The guardian also noted Taylor had previously completed domestic violence evaluation and parenting classes after pleading guilty to assault in 2023, stating sheshould have the skillsto handle conflict. Still, the guardian said Taylor’s reactions when upset made themnervous,adding shelacks total self-controlin certain situations.

The concerns extended to Taylor’s other children, Indy and Ocean, whom she shares with ex Tate Paul, with the guardian saying the situation could put themat risk.”

Despite the concerns raised, the guardian also clarified that Taylor was not believed to be intentionally putting her children in danger. However, Dakota’s legal team argued otherwise, alleging that Taylor once kicked down a door while one of her children was sleeping.

Taylor’s attorneys pushed back on those claims, arguing Dakota has contributed to the conflict. They alleged he once used their son as ahuman shieldand maintained that Ever issafein Taylor’s care andthriveswith her.

As the legal situation continues, it has also impacted Taylor’s reality TV career. Her involvement inThe Bachelorettewas reportedly canceled, and production onSecret Lives of Mormon Wivesseason 5 has been paused with no confirmed return date.

The case is set to continue at the end of April, when a judge will revisit custody and the status of the restraining order.
