Kelsey Swanson is shutting down rumors about her past just as “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” starts gaining attention. The Bravo newcomer addressed claims circulating online that alleged she worked as an escort years before joining the show — and she made it clear she’s not here for the narrative.

The report, shared on Instagram on April 4, claimed Kelsey—who previously held the title of Miss Rhode Island—was listed under the name Alexia Lins on a now-defunct website in 2016. The post alleged rates ranging from $500 to $2,900.

Kelsey quickly responded in the comments, writing, “Had to comment on this one. Never have been an escort. Pages were completely made up 10 years ago. State police were involved. Thanks for sharing tho.”

Kelsey Swanson Addresses Rumors While RHORI Gains Momentum

While Kelsey is clearing up online speculation, she’s also giving viewers a look into her personal life on “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.” And let’s just say — it’s already complicated.

During the April 2 premiere, Kelsey opened up about her relationship with a multimillionaire boyfriend, describing it as anything but traditional.

“My relationship is very unorthodox,” she said in a confessional. “This man dates multiple people. For the first half of the year, my man is in Miami and, when he’s in Miami, he’s with somebody else.”

Kelsey admitted the situation isn’t exactly what she envisioned but explained why she stays.

“I want to be in a committed relationship with one person, but at this stage in his life, there’s not one thing he’s going to change,” she said. “He is who he is, and either I accept it, or I have to leave.”

If you thought that was complicated, it sounds like there’s even more to come this season.

In a preview clip, Kelsey hinted that her love life may involve more than one partner. “The two people in my life are the most wonderful people ever,” she said, prompting costar Rosie DiMare to react in disbelief: “Now you’re saying that you do have two boyfriends. Like, what?!”

Between shutting down rumors and opening up about her unconventional relationship, Kelsey is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about new Housewives.

“The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
