If you’ve been refreshing your feed nonstop over the past few days, trying to keep up with the chaos surrounding “Summer House,” you’re not alone. Amanda Batula and West Wilson have officially addressed the rumors — and fans finally have some clarity.

After weeks of speculation, Amanda and West shared a joint statement on Instagram Stories confirming that something is, in fact, going on between them. However, they made it clear that the situation is complicated and still unfolding.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” the pair wrote. “It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything.”

Amanda and West explained that their connection developed gradually, which is part of why they chose to stay quiet at first.

“Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” they said.

They added, “What’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship.”

The pair also acknowledged that their relationship could impact others around them.

“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling,” they continued. “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”

‘Summer House’ Fallout Could Be Major Ahead of Reunion

The timing of the statement has only added to the drama. Amanda recently confirmed her separation from Kyle Cooke, while West has a complicated history with Ciara Miller — who is one of Amanda’s closest friends.

Ciara and West’s relationship played out on the current season of “Summer House,” and the two were still working through their dynamic during filming last summer. That history has made the rumors surrounding Amanda and West especially intense among fans.

With the “Summer House” reunion set to film in the coming weeks, questions remain about how the cast will address the situation on camera. For now, Amanda and West have confirmed that their relationship is real — even if it’s still evolving.
