Looks like the “Giggly Squad” is getting even bigger.
Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo — best known to Bravo fans from
“Summer House” and their wildly popular “Giggly Squad” podcast — are taking their friendship to Netflix. The longtime besties are developing a half-hour scripted comedy for the streamer, and it already has some major comedy heavyweights behind it.
According Deadline, the untitled project will be co-written and headlined by Hannah and Paige, who will play fictionalized versions of themselves navigating life, friendship, and chaos in New York City.
Hannah Berner & Paige DeSorbo Are Bringing ‘Giggly Squad’ Energy to Netflix
The series is set in New York City and centers on Hannah and Paige as ride-or-die friends helping each other shed old baggage while figuring out who they really want to be.
If that premise sounds familiar to fans of the duo, that’s because their real-life dynamic has already built a massive following.
Hannah and Paige co-host the hit podcast “Giggly Squad,” which launched in 2020 and has since become a full-blown phenomenon. The podcast recently won Podcast of the Year at the 2026 iHeartPodcast Awards and has expanded into live tours, bestselling books, and now television development.
The Netflix project also marks another step in their growing entertainment careers outside of Bravo.
Amy Poehler Is Producing the Hannah Berner & Paige DeSorbo Series
The comedy project has some serious star power behind the scenes. Comedy icon Amy Poehler will produce the series through her Paper Kite Productions company.
Kay Cannon — known for “Pitch Perfect” and “30 Rock” — will co-write the series and serve as showrunner. Universal Television will produce the project.
Hannah and Paige will also executive produce alongside Poehler, Cannon, and Paper Kite’s Kim Lessing.
The connection with Poehler reportedly came after Hannah and Paige appeared on her podcast “Good Hang.” The collaboration also feels fitting, as Poehler previously executive produced “Broad City,” another comedy about two best friends navigating life in New York.
From ‘Summer House’ to Scripted Comedy
Bravo fans first met Hannah and Paige on “Summer House,” where they joined the cast during season 3. Hannah later left after season 5 to focus on stand-up comedy, while Paige remained on the show through season 9.
Since stepping away from the series, both have continued building their careers in different directions.
Hannah released the Netflix stand-up special “Hannah Berner: We Ride At Dawn” in 2024, while Paige has focused on fashion and influencing, including launching her Daphne sleepwear brand.
The duo has also begun exploring acting roles, including appearances in Mindy Kaling’s upcoming Hulu comedy “Not Suitable For Work.”
