196. Jill is not living the Golden Life; The demise of Kyle and Amanda’s relationship on Summer House; RHONY’s (allegedly) shaky future

Jill Zarin has been fired from her job on The Golden Life before she even started filming. The production company behind the new show let her go and issued a public statement about it, citing her recent video about the Bad Bunny performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show. And, later in the week, her stepgrandson came out and told some stories about her that continued to shed her in a bad light. When the Olympics start to sound like an episode of Real Housewives, we are seated..and we are seated for the story of the cheating Norwegian Biathlete. On Summer House, we’re watching the demise of Kyle and Amanda‘s relationship. And we can feel the tension through our screens. We’re so happy to see Lindsay back on our screens. Could RHONY be over after one more season? Christine Quinn is coming back to our screens. And last but not least, there are rumors of a new mega clause in the RHOSLC housewives’ contracts that will have a ripple effect on all other housewives shows…if it’s true, that is. 

What’s up? Cocktails? Hello, Amanda. Hi B Hi cocktailers. How are you? I’m bad. You’re bad. I’m fine. I don’t feel sick, but I have like, a heavy head because it has been the coldest it’s been in New York City in, I want to say, 10 years. There’s got to be some data about it, because it does seem like it’s been freaking terrible there. So it’s been like real feel below zero. And then yesterday it went to 40 degrees. And so, of course, today, I woke up with just a ruddy nose, and I think it’s the change of temperature. I don’t feel sick, but I have bad allergies. I don’t know. I think it does something to me. Yeah, I think, though, legitimately, when there’s a big change in temperature, that means there’s, like, a change in I am no meteorologist, not even in my closet, guys, but it means there’s a change in pressure. So that would, I would think, have an effect on where you live. Do you get time off in February? No, well yes and no. And my kids now go to two different schools. And so yes, and one of them goes to, well, both of them do more religious based school. One of them goes to a Catholic school to say it. And so some of it depends on the timing of Easter. How much time? No, I get, oh, because I get April. Oh, well, I get wherever Easter falls, right? It’s April, it’s it depends for us with Passover and Easter because public school, but we still get February for winter break, see and then we get spring break and an Easter break. So sometimes, or sometimes it’s a really long Easter break, just depending on how it rolls on the calendar. But yes, we always at least get Presidents Day, which is Monday, but you have the whole week. Next week, I have the whole week. And so we’re going to Ireland, because when it’s below zero, you go somewhere nice and tropical. No, I’m so excited. You know, my cousins are there, yeah? And we just, we love to go. I feel I don’t even drink Guinness, but I do when I’m in Ireland, I’ll have a couple pints, and the food is so good, yeah, just excited. Just excited. Listen, it’s gonna be in the 40s, which I’ll take over zero. Did you know that Guinness is actually, like, one of the lowest calorie beers? My husband was telling me, yes, my husband was telling me that too. It just looks and tastes so heavy. I don’t love the taste of it, it tastes better like a tap Guinness in Ireland. I like, I just think, you know, like, what? In Rome, I also, I’m not a huge beer drinker, but I mostly drink beer there and then I will get, like, a chaser of whiskey, which I absolutely never drink. But when in Rome, there will be a lot of when in Rome. So yeah, say acts like I can, Irish step dance afterwards, which I cannot but that’s besides the point. We’re gonna need some video evidence of that. And like, the beauty of it is you could just take it of your feet, because that’s where all the action is happening anyway. So, yeah, we could post it. Yeah, that would be really good.

Okay, well, I think we need to start with kind of the biggest definitely, what the biggest news, yes, of the week was. So as you guys know, Jill Zarin, who was an OD real housewife in New York, has been trying for 10 years to get back on TV. She Sonia Luann Kelly, Ramona, all landed a show on E called the Golden life. I think Dorinda was also going to make appearances. Show is going to take place in Florida. But before she even started the job, she was fired. So we know that you guys probably did not miss it. But in case you did, Jill made a video on Instagram after bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show and said that she did not think, quote unquote, it was appropriate to have it in Spanish during a celebration of the United States. She complained that there were, quote unquote, literally no white people in the entire thing. And she characterized the performance as, quote unquote, a political statement. She called it, and I’m saying quote unquote, I know it’s annoying, but I want you guys to be sure of what are my words and what are hers? She called it the quote worst halftime show ever, and thought that bad bunnies dancing was quote unquote inappropriate for children. She said that she did not recognize the guest performer, Lady Gaga, which I think is such BS, because how could you not have recognized her? But okay, and then she said that the singer had a quote unquote terrible facelift. So everybody was talking about it on Monday, because she posted this on Sunday, and then Tuesday, after her video, went firewall. The production company making the new show said, because of those comments, they had decided not to move forward with her involvement in the show. Okay, so cocktail. You guys know we don’t talk politics here, but I am just going to say it is not political, to point out that her entire statement is racist, full stop. I will not debate it. I am not somebody who really listens to bad bunny. I’ve heard it on the radio. I definitely think it’s catchy. I’m also not a Spanish speaking person, but, and I have to add this in here, Amanda Jill Zarin is a New Yorker. When you’re a New Yorker, so many of your friends, your colleagues, your classmates in school, your kids’ friends, are Spanish. They’re Latino. They’re Latina. For me personally, although I’m certainly not bilingual, I can understand many words. I took it in school. I know the basics for a New Yorker to be offended by Spanish music or Spanish speaking I find bizarre. Yeah, I can only speak, obviously, from my personal experience, but so many of my friends and family speak Spanish, I’m often embarrassed that I can’t speak because I’ve been around the language my whole life, and I think many parts of America have this same experience that I have, right? I always think to myself, I should have better conversational ability, but I digress, taking that out of it, the fact that she’s a New Yorker, and then she’s in South Florida, which is the other place. I mean, Miami, we all watch Real Housewives of Miami. It’s basically in Spanglish. You’re in Florida, you’re in New York people are speaking Spanish, but that’s such a good point to think about real houses in Miami, and how we embrace some of the funny Spanglish words that Alexia and Marisol use, and that it’s like it’s one of the parts of the show that make the show unique. I feel like and I know that she is a wealthy woman and lives in a bubble. I feel like if you’re a New Yorker Floridian, especially south Florida, where she is, you would have to actively avoid Spanish speaking people to not be entrenched in it. So I just want to put that out there, just to show how wild it is that she even made these statements. But as far as my opinion on the show, I thought the scenery, first of all, I’ve never seen anything like it at a Super Bowl, it was incredible. And I love how he displayed all different jobs that immigrants and people who live in Puerto Rico do like as he was walking through. By the way, Taylor Armstrong also needs to hear this, Puerto Rico is an American territory, and Puerto Ricans are American citizens. Yeah, I honestly find the whole topic infuriating, because the undertone is putting people down who are minorities. That’s it. There’s no other purpose. As an example, I’m not a Kendrick Lamar fan. I love hip hop. Yes, there. I’m a hip hop head. I don’t particularly love him. I watched the halftime show. It wasn’t my favorite. He’s not an artist that I listen to, but you’re taking somebody’s top moment and as a public figure, criticizing it in an angry, negative way, serving what purpose, say nothing, well. And the arrogance of her to think that every super.
Bowl show needs to be for her? Yeah, you know, I mean, she’s in her 60s. Is she 70s? 60s? Hard to tell. She’s got a big face. You gotta realize too, there’s a younger generation who’s listening to completely different music than you. I mean, you and I joke about this, but our, a lot of our night favorite 90s hip hop is now considered oldies, because think about when you and I were growing up, music from the 50s and 60s was on the oldies channel, and that’s where we are right now in our lives. Music we listen to in the clubs is now what we stroll through the supermarket listening it is. Yes, I thought bed Bunny was hugely entertaining. I loved seeing Lady Gaga. The message was, love is stronger than hate. If that’s a political statement, then it was a positive one, because that is the message as a country, we need to come together. We need to love each other. We are allowed to have different opinions, but this country is so divided, and this man put on a show that was positive and happy, there was no negativity. I took nothing negative from his show. So the fact that she hopped online and slammed it in such a nasty, angry way, do you want to say that to your friends privately? I think your friends would probably be like, All right, what bug is up your ass well, and you’re a racist, yeah, yes, and you’re racist, but it doesn’t have to be your kind of music. It’s not everything. Isn’t for everyone, right? When she said there were no white people, I was shocked. I was shocked, and in the tone that she said it, by the way, Lady Gaga is white. Many of the dancers had white skin. I don’t know their nationality, and I don’t care. I don’t need like doesn’t matter. People don’t need to look like me for me to watch something. I’m just so sick, honestly, of living in a place where people feel it’s okay to speak this way. I don’t want my children hearing this, seeing this, normalizing this. Yeah, and I we just said it last week, which is so funny. I’ve always had a love hate relationship with Jill Zarin, because I find her completely obnoxious. She’s an entitled, wealthy woman who I mostly disagree with, but I did find her funny and entertaining. You know, the reason she got fired is because the overwhelming response from fans was that they weren’t going to watch the show. Moreover, it wasn’t just us fans. No other women on the cast, yeah, namely Luann and Dorinda. This is a little cocktail party tea for you guys. They didn’t want to film with her. After those comments, they felt offended. Now, listen, some people will say, Oh, they just did. They as a general statement. It’s not that they were offended, it’s that they don’t want to be associated, whatever it is. They didn’t want to film with her, and they pushed for her not to film after that, and the contracts were already signed. Her statement, which I won’t even read, the whole thing was that everybody loves Jill and fans are disappointed. Both have many followers, and they’re all Bravo fans. And I could tell you, nobody at my DM said that, not a one. And the other thing she said is that she’s human, and they didn’t even give her a chance. I found those her statements on the original video. I found them to be racist. I do not support as I know you do not support racism in any form and cocktails. You guys know I’ve been banging this drum for a while about who’s being planned. I don’t think people who say racist things should be platformed. And I will say about the show. Was it my favorite halftime show ever? No, I’m not a big bad bunny fan either, but I will say the song that he ended with, the DTMF song. Don’t make me try to pronounce it. I can’t get that song out of my head. I keep like singing it to myself all week. I loved the story, and this is the thing that I feel like so many people missed. I loved the story that he told through the show, which truly illustrated the American dream. A boy who was not a Nepo baby, did not have a privileged upbringing, can achieve his dream of being a musician, become famous, win Grammys and perform at the Super Bowl. It does not get more American to me than that. And I’m like, that was that. And then, of course, what he said about the only thing being that’s more powerful than hate is love. So again, I can appreciate it for what it was, Lady Gaga to me when she did her Super Bowl that was one of my favorite the hip hop one a few years ago. But I also recognize it’s not just for me, and I am also aging into a group where not everything is for us anymore, and I’m, you know, bad bunny might be for us because we got some tea. The reason he scrubbed his Instagram is because he’s going to be announcing a concert or a tour. Yes, that’s exciting. I did want to share so gossip was not sleeping this week because then Jill zarians Step grandson. So this is Bobby’s grandson. Did he didn’t ask me anything on Reddit on Tuesday night regarding Jill. So one of the cocktails tipped us off that this was happening. We don’t. We’re not big reddit people, but I was able to figure out how to find it, and it was kind.
Going late into the evening. So cocktails also sent us some tidbits. His name is Micah Zarin, and he’s the person behind those graphics. So we also saw that zaren fabric put out on social media. He made those has her face with a big red X on it, saying we’re not associated with her by any means. We do not agree with her statements. So to be clear, zaren fabrics was Bobby and his brother’s company. Or, excuse me, maybe it was just Bobby’s. In any event, Mike, his dad, now owns the company Jill Zarin does not Jill zaren Rugs is totally separate. you Okay, so somebody asked this question, what is the most unhinged thing this person, meaning Jill, has said or done hypothetically at a holiday dinner table. And so then he says, my grandpa, meaning Bobby had a Ferrari, and the brake, like the handle, the brake thing wasn’t working, and a car rolled out of the garage, and she threatened his dad, so Bobby’s brother over it with a knife, Bobby’s son. Oh yeah, Bobby’s she threatened Bobby’s son with a knife over it. Could you imagine? No, I can’t imagine verbally threatening anybody, am I? They’re not on speaking terms. Since we finalized the settlement over grandpa’s estate, which was changed very closely to before he died, yes, and Bobby had also expressed to his son that he did not want ally in his estate will and.
And Ally was and it was changed weeks before he died, and we know that Bobby was very sick again. These are all allegations that the grandson wrote on Reddit, yeah, let’s see her. Aunt and uncle were in the funeral home when Jill told them she invited bravo to film the funeral. They were in the funeral home, planning the funeral. The grandson writes, My dad and his brother and sister didn’t know what to say. She was the wife. They felt like they couldn’t do anything. They were so disgusted. And by the way, years later, Bethany said something to the effect of, Oh, I’m glad Jill told me the Bravo cameras just showed up. I thought she invited them. That was disgusting. Jill lied to Bethany. Yeah, he did say that his grandpa was happily married to her, and he loved the excitement that Jill brought to his life, because she would take him to a bunch of parties and that kind of stuff. And the last thing he said, he called her a social climber and said that there was no difference between her in her behavior before and after being cast on Roni Yeah, let me think here. We’ve got a couple other things, but yeah. Like none of it is, is that exciting. It just, and I guess his mom, she was really nice to you. I wouldn’t write that, but he said that she was actually very nice to his sister, but not so much him, yeah. And he also said that he was purposely not saying a lot of stuff, because she would sue them, and I haven’t been sent anything since, so she may have sent him a cease and desist, Yeah, who knows? Yeah, I haven’t looked since Tuesday night to see if that is even still up. And I know we’ve definitely talked enough about her. We did get some good intel from that. We posted it in cocktail party if you want to share it, yeah? But I said it a little bit yeah. But they said that the person said, I know the management for the other women on ease the golden life. As soon as Jill posted her opinions on the halftime show, the women contacted management and differentiate. Wanted to differentiate themselves. They were fully in support of her not being on the show after the video, some because they were pulled by her statement, and all because they knew it would mean the show would tank as no one would watch after they saw the fans reactions. So the crazy part is, the one that was canned was the one leading negotiations, like Jill was the one who led it. And if you guys remember, there was supposed to be a legacy spin off show, and it ended up just turning into that Ronnie’s trip to St Bart that Jill wasn’t on, because Jill demanded Favored Nations, which means they all make the same. Bravo was like, why would you, who was on four seasons of housewives make the same as Luanne, who was on 13 seasons? And at that point, Bravo just walked and said, we’ll do a one week trip. And whoever wants to do it, and they didn’t invite Jill, yeah. Bravo’s been done with Jill. Yeah. They’ve been done. Okay, so before we go into other Bravo stuff, I thought we would do a little palette cleanser, please. An Olympic story. Have you heard the story about the cheating Olympian? Yes, of course. I actually just reposted a video somebody sent me. They think they found the girl. Oh, okay, so here’s the story. You guys, if you haven’t heard it, a Norwegian biathlete. So remember, those are the guys who the event is. They ski and they shoot guns. He won the bronze medal in the biathlon, and then in his post race interview, told the cameras, he said this, six months ago, I met the love of my life, the world’s most beautiful, sweetest person, and three months ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life and cheated on her, and then he tells the cameras that he told his girlfriend a week before the Olympics about this and that he couldn’t enjoy the Olympics anymore because of how guilty he felt. So now the girlfriend has come out and responded saying, it’s hard to forgive him for his actions, even after a declaration of love in front of the whole world. She said, I did not choose to be put in this position, and it hurts to have to be in it. We have high contact. And he is aware of my opinions on this which I’m like, That is a nail in the comments. He is aware of my opinions on this girl. Mic drops, yeah, I say. I mean, good for her, whether or not she decides to take him back. The fact that he put their business on blast was probably not the best way to win her back. I loved the comments. Some of them were like, wow, love bombing at an Olympic level, but I just wouldn’t freaking idiot. But in happy news, because that is great. T but I’m obsessed with Madison chock is it Chuck and Evan Bates, so they are adorable. They started skating together in 2011 so far, they’ve won a gold medal and a silver medal. I believe that’s what they have so far. They’re now married. I watched a little clip of them talking about their love story. I watched the whole special with both their moms. It’s just a really adorable story. If you don’t know who I’m talking about, it’s definitely worth heading to your peacock app and searching up Madison and Evan, dance skaters. I love you guys. Know I am not a sports girly, but I love the Winter Olympics. I agree so much so that I loved Bodie Miller. I always thought he was so cute, yeah, and if my daughter had been a boy, we were gonna name her Bodie Oh, cute, isn’t that?
So cute, and she hates the name, and she was like, Thank God I’m a girl, but I just love it. I We love and my husband gets so excited because I don’t watch sports with him. And during the Olympics, we’ll, like, sit on the couch and I’ll, like, watch all of it and actually be interested. Other times I’m sitting there, but I’m, like, disengaged. I completely agree. It’s, like, one of those things, like, I just like to have it on all the time, and I’m big on no phone, no TV at the dinner table, but the Olympic are definitely an exception to that rule. So okay, so let’s move on to summer house, because so many cocktails have been reaching out to say everything that we had been posting and talking about in the pod. I mean, and this goes way back a year and a half, we are now watching it with our very own eyes. So remember, people had been slamming our scoop about a man and Kyle breaking up right before bravocon, and even though we didn’t share it until November, we had been hearing for a while that they had splits. I think what’s interesting is I don’t feel based on what I’ve seen, and you guys correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t feel like Kyle has been getting the hate in the way that Sandoval did, right because this is a married couple, and so far on the show, we have Carl saying he’s acting inappropriate at college DJ events. We have Amanda saying he slept at a fan’s house. And it seems the overwhelming response from fans is they’re more of an ill fit than like placing all of the blame on Kyle. I have always seen the manipulation in Kyle, the way that he talks Amanda out of being mad at him and that kind of thing. I think what’s different this season is the change in Amanda. So whereas Amanda put up with a lot of his stuff, she would get annoyed, but she would get over it and just go back to their normal routine. What we’re seeing and what Kyle’s seeing is that she’s no longer tolerating it, and he’s really not sure how to react. The last couple of summers, we’ve seen her annoyed, but this summer is a 180 where she physically recoils from him. Yeah, I don’t know if you have heard of John Gottman. He has like the Gottman marriage Institute, I think. And he writes a lot of books about marriage, and he has this concept called the Four Horsemen. It’s a metaphor to describe, like the four communication styles that can predict the end of a relationship, and the Four Horsemen are criticism, contempt, defensiveness and stonewalling. Just this last episode alone. Check, check, check, check, Wow, it’s so obvious, right? So, yeah, it’s, I don’t think it’s, it’s a stand of all. I think people will be picking sides, but I don’t particularly think Amanda is behaving now she’s, I don’t really like the way that she’s behaving either, you know, very much stonewalling, very much treating him with contempt when he is trying to do the cheers and an apology in front of the group she’s whispering with Sierra. So I’m sure you can too. I can feel it through the screen. You can tell that everybody is uncomfortable and saying that the camera feels different. So I have to say it does make me wonder when they actually split, but we’ll get to that if, with him being gone every single weekend from period to June, it had to feel almost right, I guess. But, and I don’t feel like a dedicated husband who’s just trying to make ends meet, still makes that choice. Even two weekends a month is a lot to be gone, but then, like a ray of sunshine comes in, Lindsay. I was so happy to see the girls together in such a good place. Lindsay told Amanda Kyle called me and unloaded about the weekend, and he was he was complaining about you, I think, as viewers who’ve watched summer house from the beginning, when you look at Lindsay and see her evolution as a person and her growth and her maturity, and you look at Carl, and you see his evolution and his growth and maturity, and you look at Kyle, I think the reason there isn’t more backlash to him is because people feel bad for him. Carl actually said it this episode. He’s really stuck in the mud.
Louder. I forget what words he used, but there’s a sadness about him. Amanda’s not happy. He’s not happy. I think Lindsay played it really well when she shared with Amanda, because I think she told Amanda in an honest way, but when she shared it, she was neutral. She shared with her how he told her, Kyle told Lindsay he was feeling she definitely has lost her harsh edge. Yes, there would have been a day in the past where she would have delivered that news much more Actually, yes, I completely agree with you. And of course, Amanda followed that with sharing the bomb that none of us thought was going to be in the second episode. I think we all assumed it would come later in the season that Kyle had fallen asleep at a fan’s house, we watched Amanda say there are so many rumors about Kyle, and we’ve already seen two of them on the show. Amanda has always largely tried to hush, hush the rumors, hide the rumors, not highlight the rumors. And we’re two episodes in and she has a spotlight on everything negative that he has done for her. The writing is on the wall. Amanda revealed him falling asleep at a fan’s house. We know about the Charleston weekend. We know about the Vegas weekend. This is just off the top of my head. I do have to say, I think the conversations about them splitting as a couple happened before they headed out the summer house this summer. I’m not saying they were officially separated, but we do know that they do have two units in the building, and I’m willing to bet that they were sleeping in separate quarters. Maybe she was staying in the lover boy apartment and he was staying in their apartment, vice versa. And then in October, she finally moved out. This was a slow breakup, yeah, this was a simmer. They really tortured themselves and each other, yeah, but they were almost living two separate lives at that point. Already apologize God, guys, for all the sniffling. My nose is just a faucet. So with all of this, I have to ask you, why is Kyle still wearing his wedding ring? I mean, we all saw it in pictures, but I had somebody message me. I’m at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, in the NBC Sports lounge, Kyle Cook is here. He is wearing his wedding ring, dude, we all know you guys are separated. I find it manipulative. You know, you know that he was wearing it at the premiere party where he goes getting cozy with Sally. I think it’s his attempt at currying favor to make it seem I didn’t want this. I’m heartbroken, you know, yeah, I think it’s manipulative. That’s why I think he’s doing it. Kyle then has a heart to heart with Carl. He tells Carl, looks visibly uncomfortable, by the way, yeah, although I have to say, since we’re talking about Carl that interview, look where he confessional look with, like the cut off center, like his arms. I’m like, good for you, Carl, he’s looking great. He’s been looking really good. He looks really good. Yeah, he’s got his groove back, yeah, because he just definitely did not have it last summer. So they’re talking. Kyle tells him that lover boy is way down in revenue that he stopped paying himself salary, and that he had to put half a million of his own money into the business, and then blames the fact that lover boy isn’t doing as well on why he’s gone so hard at DJing in order to bring home the bacon. You know, on one hand, I appreciate the honesty. I just kind of wonder how much of it is a little manipulative on his part. I think I can see how he would be hoping that Amanda would be more supportive that, you know, lover boy was going through a hard time, and that he was feeling like he was having to put so much of his own and, you know, sacrifice so much for it. But from Amanda’s perspective, again, going back to this literally every single weekend, traveling January to June. There’s no way that didn’t feel like a big fu to her. And I have to say something. As a married woman, I have a husband who travels for work. My husband is not a DJ, but in his line of business, there are colleagues of his that after work, meetings, presentations, whatever they’re doing, go out to dinner. Often My husband has to go right, because you’re with clients, you’re doing things, and there are colleagues of his who stay out drinking very late. That is not something my husband engages in. Those are, first of all, from a professional standpoint, those are his colleagues. But also, he’s not going to be out till two in the morning. Let’s say he’s flying home the next day and there’s no work obligation. It’s not appropriate. You know, if he were on his annual trip to see his college buddies, it’s different if you routinely travel for work once a month or twice a month, or whatever your situation is, and there’s a couple nights a month that you’re in a hotel bar lounge, whatever it is, without your spouse drinking till two in the morning. There are many spouses who would not be comfortable with that. My husband has never put me in a position to have to tell him not to right. It is just something he doesn’t engage in. If he did do it and I weren’t comfortable with it, which it would depend on circumstance, obviously, but if it were, if twice a month he was traveling, and both trips he was coming.
Home as Kyle must hung over and having stayed out till all hours of the night, I would have a problem with that. Well, yeah, there’s a very big difference, even to me, of staying out late with your colleagues versus in a bar versus ending up in a fan’s apartment. There are just uncrossable lines, and that is a line that you don’t cross, and Kyle is a public figure who has a fan base, who has girl who will be all over him, and it is 100% different to go and DJ than to does he have to get wasted and fall asleep at people’s places? Can he not DJ, finish the set and go home like you can. It’s so manipulative how he positions it versus what he’s actually doing. I can appreciate that if he makes two to $10,000 on a DJ event and they’re flying him out, obviously, if he’s not taking a salary, he needs that money. Okay, so go do the DJ event when it ends at 12 or one, go back to your hotel room, call your wife sober and go to bed, right? So when he was talking about the hardships of lover boy, I also thought to myself, this isn’t a good look. This brand has been treading water on summer house for so many years. We had received reliable intel that he recently turned down a deal. I mean, it seems like he’s doing the same thing year after year. At what point is this it’s like shit or get off the pot. I do have to point out that spritz, which is the competitor. It’s the people from the podcast the toast, and this is the brand that Craig invested in had a hidden can in the grass during bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance. I also, yeah, I also hear that they may soon be serving spritz on Delta flights, which is huge. So, yeah, it’s a very competitive market, and it might be time for him to pivot. Yeah, I think there’s still a lot of value in the business. A lot of people do, like lover boy, but to your point, yeah, maybe it’s time, maybe it’s time to sell it. Okay, so we got a really juicy email that we need to talk about. So this one is subject Ronnie, and then it says didn’t Andy announce that the Roni cast was finalized and filming was to start soon in November at bravocon. It’s February, and no filming yet. Says they will be getting one more season, but if it doesn’t land, Bravo is going to be done with Roni forever between next gen NYC and in the city. They have two New York City shows, and will be content with that. It says the OG ladies, new show always plays a role, as if it’s a success, they know they will lose more viewers for Roni, it says over the years, Bravo plans to end cities, if necessary, and bring the franchise to life with new cities like Rhode Island, Jersey is getting one more chance too. Right now, Nashville and Idaho are in early development to be pitched as new housewives cities. So then we got another email from an unknown source or a known person, because it was, you know, to send this tee box saying that Seattle could still be in the works, because Bravo really wants something in the Pacific Northwest. And then you guys will remember like Rhode Island development started in summer of 2024, and now it’s airing two years later. So you know, we don’t necessarily expect a new city announcement for a bit, but we also know that next gen is going to be in LA. Development is happening in Miami, Atlanta and Washington, DC, not all will be greenlit, but once the pilots are filmed, Bravo will make a decision on what’s happening next. So they didn’t find out until March 2025, that Rhode Island was officially notified that they had gotten a green light, and they were pitched along with three other cities. Pilots.
Good news, I can confirm, Ronnie is starting filming in a couple of weeks. Sadly, we recently got an email that Dorothy Wang will be joining. That is not true, although I think that the network would have loved it, and we’ll see what the future holds. It’s going to be, and we’ve already told you guys this, Erin Cy Jessel, Martha Stewart’s makeup artist, Erica, Hammond Haley, Glassman, and there’ll be other friends that we’ll see with that said, assuming the summer spin off is successful, if Ronnie doesn’t have the ratings, I agree with the email saying they don’t, they probably won’t keep Ronnie alive. I think it’s more than likely they would add Erin, if in the city is successful, Erin seems like Bravo’s into her. She’s made relationships. She was just at a Knicks game with Bronwyn. She’s friends with Lindsay. She’s way in the mix. So I hope Ronnie is a success, because I love Ronnie, and I liked the spin off. As far as the other cities, I could see OC ending for sure. Yeah, I could see it a couple years, maybe Potomac. I do feel like Atlanta will be the New York where they’ll keep trying to give it a go. Jersey is definitely getting another chance, and I am confident Jersey can be good. Nashville, we’ve heard, but we’ve also heard that they have a lot of casting trouble there. Idaho, I find super interesting. It’s.
Seattle is always comes up like that. Was definitely one of the three that was pitched. I think it was Rhode Island, Seattle and Chicago is my guess. And the next gen, I mean, next gen is the future. It’s cheaper to make it’s a younger audience. They can tap into all the brand deals that we see on summer house. They are casting next gen in Washington, DC. They’ve been casting in Atlanta, expect those, I would say, expect those announcements before a new city. I would think that jersey would roll out before we hear a new city for housewives. And don’t worry, guys, like we’re not saying that housewives will completely go away. I said this a couple of months ago, and you agree, we could both see OC ending after the 20th anniversary season. And I do think it makes sense to try fresh faces and fresh places. But speaking of we are hearing that there will be a secret lives of Mormon wives filming in Arizona. So I mean, Hulu, Hulu is on fire right now. So there are so many successful influencers in Arizona. For whatever reason. I don’t even know how I ended up following so many influencers in Arizona. I know that I started following what Lola likes because there was drama with her and her ex husband that got sent to me. Her ex husband was Nikki. And what is it? Nikki and Bri Bella from the WWE brother, and he’s like a cheat and a wackadoo. And then I also follow the Garcia diaries. I don’t again. I don’t know how I found these accounts, but these Arizona influencers all hang out together, and if you follow all of them, you know that, like the groups have shifted over the years. It actually, really does remind me, they all have the long hair extensions. They look like the real house of Mormon wives, yeah? And they’re all, I would say, anywhere from like late 20s to mid 30s. Kids on the younger side, married or going through divorce, is like chock full of drama. Yeah, and you know what’s funny they do? I’ve been to Arizona. I’ve only been to Arizona. I’ve actually played that’s not true. I’ve been to Arizona twice, but they have, like, a big culinary scene, and the influencer girls always do dinners there. And do you know I sometimes get emails from restaurants in Arizona where they invite me, and I’m like, I wish I was based in Arizona, but I’m not. I’m based in New York, yeah, so I just find that interesting. In other words, based on scrolling the internet and because I have an account, which I’m obviously not an influencer, but I’m a social media account, there’s a whole world there. Oh yeah, there’s a big ecosystem there, yeah,
yeah. Well, there’s partnerships with restaurants and the spas. All those girls are always going to the spas and posting their micro needling and yeah, and there is, there is a big Mormon population in Arizona as well, so that checks out too. In other fun news, we hear that Christine Quinn is in talks to return to selling sunset we had a cocktail, or whose son works, where they were filming this week. And she was like, it’s so funny. You posted this because my son told me that selling sunsets filming at his job. So I showed him a picture of Christine Quinn, and I told him, and sure enough, she messaged me yesterday. They were there filming. Christine was there. So it makes sense, Chris shell is gone. They had a huge beef. I think at some point, Christine said she’d never film with her again. You know, Christine got married to somebody very wealthy, had a child, has since divorced that person. I loved, selling sunset when Christine was on and when she left, to me, it just felt over produced, not as interesting. So I’m here for a comeback. I will definitely tune in. She’s such a good villain. I’m the same. I haven’t watched it in years, but I definitely will tune in for her. Definitely one of those people that I didn’t love her as in, want to hang out and I just enjoyed her as the villain. I loved her. She always put together a very comprehensive look. Was very, I mean, she was, I think he was almost like the Aaron, yeah, yeah, definitely. I just saw Erica, Jane, and I have to forward it to you. I shared it to my stories. She must have been in New York, and she did a, one of those accounts that stopped, like a pink inflatable thing, yes, in the snow, like snow was in the background in New York. Yeah, I saw that, and she was so likable in it, she feels lighter. I mean, I know for me, I’ll go through crazy lawsuits, but I thought it was really cute. I re shared it. Yeah, I like her too. I liked that video, and I liked what she had to say, because they are talking about what, one of the questions was, what’s a red flag or what’s a green flag? That actually should be a red flag, and Erica says, when he says, girl, I’ll take care of you. Yeah, I loved that. Okay, so we’re still not hearing anything official about Salt Lake City, but du mois posted something interesting, and our source is saying that they have heard something similar.
More this, I think, is so juicy, it says renewal letters have gone out to the Salt Lake City ladies for season seven, and they include a new mega clause, which is non negotiable for all new and returning cast. It’s called the narrative integrity clause, basically, the cast are not allowed to create influence or leak story lines about the show or other cast members off camera. This includes using third parties as a proxy. Any on camera discussions about unverified activity will be cut from the final edit, and any verified activity is punishable on a scale that includes financial penalties, loss of screen time, demotion and firing. Production isn’t fucking around. They’re tired of grasping at straws with this bunch, and they know they need to regain control. This clause has had a mixed reception amongst the cast. Two of shocker, yeah, two of them are holding out on renewing hoping it will push production to cave. It says they won’t, and they’ve got a short list of potential new housewives to backfill spots if needed. Even this email being circulated screams to me that production sending a message to the women, you’re replaceable. You better cut the shit. Yeah, this could be where the Meredith not return or not returning. Rumors are coming from I would imagine her and Lisa would buck this while denying that they do it. Whitney and Heather will agree, as if they aren’t also guilty of doing it. You know, Heather thinks she can get away with it. She thinks she’s smarter than everybody else. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Meredith was called out for being mean to production, and now we’re hearing this with the exception of Mary Bronwyn and I guess Brittany. It’s an OG trick that everybody on Salt Lake City has done this or has been accused of doing this. The issue, for me is proving that they did it right. A lot of times, these receipts can be fabricated and they deny it. Are third parties reliable? Is some fan account reliable? To me, this is more a statement with the hope of stopping the behavior than something that they’ll really be able to enforce. Yeah, maybe it’s a way to scare them off. The show, there was a fake exit statement circulating for Meredith, but I haven’t received official word while we have emails saying she won’t be back. The reunion’s been wrapped up a while now. I did see that Whitney posted something like seven is my lucky number, but I I still believe she’s gonna be demoted. I don’t think that she would necessarily announce that, because I think she’d work hard to be featured full time well, and she’d probably be given the deal of, yeah, you’re a friend for now, but if you really bring it exactly right. I mean, if this whole thing is true, it’s huge, because I think it will have a ripple effect onto all of the other housewives shows. Because, yes, Salt Lake City maybe has the biggest examples of this, but Orange County, I mean, the whole last season was really about this kind of third party leak situation. Yes, you know when poor Kiki got pulled into all that, yes, with a clause like this, I had the same thought. I think the enforceability is going to be hard. And then I also can’t help but wonder where the line is, because, like so right example, take the Lisa lawsuits situation. There was an article written in the Salt Lake City newspaper about it. Would that be fair game to talk about? I don’t know. I think, Well, remember, each housewife has a producer that they work with. So I think what they’re saying is kind of bring it to us and we’ll approve it. So in the case of Lisa, where it was in the Salt Lake City Tribune, or I think that’s what it was in, whatever it was in, if Bronwyn were to say, Hey, can I bring this up, it’s in the Salt Lake City Tribune, yes. But if it was from a Twitter account, and upon investigation, there were no actual lawsuits, but they just wanted to mention it. Then no but then again, think about but also like Meredith and Seth’s cheating rumors, right? Really want that not to be on the show because it drove Meredith into a spiral, which gave her a storyline. So it’s really hard. Well, at least two be about production. Think about the like all the times production from these shows has reached out to us, asking if they can use our stuff, right? So how this is going to actually work? If this is true, is just it’s kind of a big question mark for me, because our society is so seamlessly online offline. You know that I understand where they’re coming from, the self production, and I just, I don’t know where line is. My head was when Whitney used an Instagram account as proof and Lisa, that’s when Lisa did the famous I’m going to take this all the way. That’s not true, right? There was no proof of that well, and even that Instagram account, the guy has come out and said that’s not what happened. Do you ever feel like you’re supposed to have it all figured out? But don’t. as an example, let’s remember something we posted back when Robin was on Potomac. It was our post spotting Juan at the nail salon with the girl that got that whole thing going, and that was a huge storyline on the show. And it turned out that Robin tried to hide it, and then on her Patreon with Giselle exposed that there wasn’t an appropriate relationship, but she didn’t want to mention it on the show, which ultimately got her fired, right? But do you know what I’m saying? So it’s sort of, maybe the line has to be, are there receipts? So like with Seth and Meredith, it’s not enough that a Tiktok account said it because we didn’t just say we said we were like, okay, he was spotted here with this girl. He was spot. Remember, we kept getting those pictures. Juan was basically on dates with this girl, right? And we kept posting pictures. And so it became part of the Potomac storyline, and she still chose to hide it, but then on her Patreon, spoke about it. So that was a problem. The problem was that she didn’t put it on the show. I don’t know. I think we’ll see what happens, but we talked a few weeks ago about if anybody’s gonna go from Salt Lake City. Your thought was maybe Whitney. And then I went on a long rampage about how I thought it should be Meredith. I think, I think I got you coming to my side it. And I think, based on it, does feel a little I think Meredith’s really gonna have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to make things work on the show moving forward, because she doesn’t, she doesn’t share, and she’s, you can only have one adult Bar Mitzvah. And I’m laughing because the silliness of all of a sudden she wanted to have it. It’s like she doesn’t want to be there. And she does act like she’s above it. Yeah, she very much acts like she’s about and I do hear from sources that they want her on the show so bad, which I don’t get. I really don’t either, and I really want to see what I want to see, what Lisa without Meredith is. We saw a little bit of it when she and Meredith were fighting a couple of seasons ago, and Lisa kind of glommed on to Whitney, because everybody else was mad at Whitney too, right? But, you know, just like I really want to see on this ultimate girls trip, how she works outside of all of the Salt Lake City cast, because I’m still really as delulou as she is, she has my attention. I can’t say the same thing about I think Meredith is gorgeous. I think she’s smart. I just haven’t found her to be particularly interesting in the last couple seasons. I was going to say I’d like to see Bronwyn or Mary bring a friend on, but I don’t think they have friends. Mary has her parishioners, but I don’t think she does. Bronwyn posted just recently about how she, oh, what’s up best friend, yes, how she goes on a girls trip every year and shows the pictures from all the trips, and how they do a theme night, and they do costumes, and they, I think what I meant was I don’t think she has friends in Salt Lake City, because it seems like her and Todd, well, they did have a house in Salt Lake City. It kind of seems like her social life is very much very much based in New York and San Francisco, right? Yeah, yeah. Maybe she’ll bring her model boyfriend on. Haven’t heard a peep since that picture was dropped, by the way. Yeah, I love her, but she definitely loves the attention at the Knicks game in Designer whatever with Erin leachy. Of course she does. That’s why she has that’s one of the things that makes for a friend house, for a house while. That’s why she left her husband to be on the house. It’s really starting to look like that. Ohio behind that is that if they find each other, they’re based in the same city, yeah, which makes sense. So much sense. Yeah, I think it totally makes sense. But Ohio is a really big state. It’s like, very, very big. So I’m curious about how that’s gonna work.
